Creed on World Wrestling Entertainment! (WWE)
At the end of SmackDown! today, which was a special Christmas In Baghdad with the troops, they were doing a video package / thank you thingy for the men and women of the Armed Services of our country, and the song they did it to was none other than Weathered by our CREED! I thought it was pretty cool when I heard the opening chords and said "They're playing Creed!" It was really cool and they did a good job.
They also had a "Santa's Little Helper" contest between Dawn Marie, Sable, and my Torrie Wilson. Needless to say, the troops chose my beautiful Torrie Wilson as the winner! All I can say about the contest is WOW! OK, that last part had nothing to do with the post, but they played parts of that during the video package to Weathered. H-D

They just played the video package again on Raw!
It's cool they're doing more with Creed songs now than just most of the Desire videos for a bunch of superstars with My Sacrifice. Hardy Boyz used a different song for their Desire video. Possibly Stand Here With Me, but I don't remember. H-D

I love Pro Wrestling, and Creed are one of my favourite bands - and I define my favourite bands my the kind of band whose CD I could buy and listen and enjoy every song, not just buy a CD for the one song. This totals to an amount countable on one hand.
I've noticed the WWE uses My Sacrifice for several Desire vids, but I've seen; Jeff Hardy - Some song by Three Days Grace Triple H - U2, Beautiful Day Kurt Angle - Coldplay, Clocks The Rock - P.O.D, Alive But Creed music just fits so well with wrestling. I mean when I watch the Shawn Michaels desire video and My Sacrifice is playing, it just ties in so well. The lyrics fit, it all mixes. I haven't seen the Soldier's tribute, but I look forward to it. The only way I see these videos are by downloading them off of the internet, and most are made when a wrestler makes his comeback from injury, at least from what I've noticed - The Triple H one is from when he had that knee injury, Kurt Angle from his neck surgery - so myabe we can expect an Edge desire soon. But if there's one video you have to see, it's the WWE Desire - Backstage video. Not only does it give you a look into what it's likes before an episode of Raw is taped, but it shows the wrestlers as almost like everyday people - gettin' their feed on, sleeping, reading, even having a shave in the arena bathroom. And what's great about it is how awesomely Weathered ties into the clip. Search for it on Kazaa or IMesh or whatever, it's worth it. It's almost 50megs, but I guarantee if you love the song and love wrestling, you won't regret it. That's where I discovered Weathered, I didn't even know it was by Creed when I loved it - the discovery of the fact just made it better, and now I knew what to search for when downloading it |
