Petition to Creed
Some of you may or may not be into this idea, but it's really the only way we can get our feelings across to the band at this point. Some of their live performances are alright, tempo wise, but most of them are entirely too fast. I think this problem can easily be fixed, if they would just take it seriously.
This was once one of the tightest bands in the world, so there is no reason for them to be playing their songs 2 times the speed of the original. If you want to help out, sign the petition, and follow the facebook page. Thanks. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Creed-...40991622590929 http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/creedtempo/ |

Re: Petition to Creed
I signed. But online petitions are rarely effective in any case.

Re: Petition to Creed
This is true. But, it's already getting semi attention from them. Erock keeps taking the link down. So, it's only a matter of time before they know that it exists. Even if they never do anything about it, they'll know what we're thinking. Worth a shot. |

Re: Petition to Creed
Where is Erock taking the link down? And why the denial? It just makes him look childish. "Nobody can criticize me!"

Re: Petition to Creed
You know I plugged into my amp today and dropped tuned my Guitar and played along with two bootlegs the live in Boston from 98( where I didn't drop tune it) and the live on rockline from last year, I mean yeah there is a difference but the fact of the matter is.. I'm just happy creed are rocking again, yea they really could slow down but just about every band plays faster live. I'm sure they know they play fast. In just not to fond of signing it, I have nothing against anyone who signs it, but they're back!! Embrace the fact that they're back, I love creed the way the are. Even if they play fast.

Re: Petition to Creed
I'll just say this... as much as the band has the final say, the fans have the right to express what they want from a band. They pay for the music, posters, dvds, tickets etc. etc. & make the band what they are, so in the end the fan base deserves a voice. If I was in a successful band I would appreciate something like this... it's a respectful way of expressing opinion and constructive critism. Will a petition work? maybe, maybe not but at least the band will know we're concerned. That's all.

Re: Petition to Creed
This sounds silly to me, petitions scream "WE WANT THIS, AND WE WANT THIS NOW!!" which isn't needed.
The band are aware of tempo issues, also petitions have very little effect on average anyway. |

Re: Petition to Creed
Then don't sign it.
It's already got attention. The band knows it exists. Unforgiven isn't even on the setlist anymore, thankfully. The tempo is slightly better in recent shows. But, from a realistic standpoint, Creed will die out if they don't keep fans interested. With all these new people discovering Creed for the first time, it would be a shame for them to discover the band playing so poorly, if it's their first string of Creed shows. Why on earth would you waste money on a band that sucks live? You wouldn't. Anyone who has never seen the Creed pre-breakup, wouldn't understand the magnitude of the problem. They were untouchable live. 2009's performances were mediocre in comparison, and I'm not just talking vocals. If they come out and say they had rather play fast, then so be it. But it is not a personal choice to play fast.....it's a problem. They don't choose to play lightning fast. It's easy to get carried away in live shows. It's extremely easy to play too fast or too slow if you haven't played in a while. The more they play, hopefully, the better they will get. With such short amounts of time they have in their schedules, it's hard to get back into the perfect groove. Forgive me if I'm too fond of what I know they can be capable of. But let's not pretend the band would rather play at 2x the speed. Brian actually said recently, that it was a "drummer" error. Last edited by josha31042 : 08-08-2010 at 05:37 AM. |

Re: Petition to Creed
I think Creed should just stay away from most of their fast songs. If I see Creed I would much rather hear inside us all or beautiful or WATY then Unforgiven or Bullets. Even songs like hide, WGMBN and weathered would be nice. Oh how i wish they would play Freedom Fighter though.
