Me Playing/Singing Creed.......

Well, if anyone's interested, here are me singing and playing 5 creed songs. I play the guitar and sing it at the same time if your wondering, everything in the recording is me (i don't know why i said that, it's kinda obvious lol). You can click the link and wait for awhile (the screen will stay white until it finished downloading, or i think you can right click and save target as to save time). You will need Quicktime Media Player (if you don't have it u can dl it at cnet.com):

First song here for your listening pleasure is My Own Prison:

http://www.guitar.com/artists/sounds/Matt-..._Own_Prison.mp3

Next is don't stop dancing, kinda botched the solo lol:

http://www.guitar.com/artists/sounds/Matt-Don't_Stop_Dancing.mp3

I also did With Arms Wide Open, but i tried to do some fancy slides in the solo and screwed that up too lol:

http://www.guitar.com/artists/sounds/Matt-...s_Wide_Open.mp3

Next is What's This Life For?.......the intro isn't completely correct, and if you compare me playing it to mark playing it you'll see what i mean. He does some really cool hammer ons that i can't do yet since i just learned this:

http://www.guitar.com/artists/sounds/Matt-What's_This_Life_For.mp3

And finally Pity For A Dime. I warn you before listening to this song, if you have any respect for guitar, do NOT listen to the solo lol. I'm playing on my acoustic with no cutaway, so i couldn't reach half the notes. To generalize the solo, i hit about the first two notes, and it all went down hill from there lol. Also you will notice that i don't enjoy singing high notes too much in this song.....:

Now keep in mind, i know they're all horrible, believe me i kick myself about it all the time and i don't know why i'm posting these except that someone wanted me to prove i could play/sing some creed. These are also bad and compounded by the fact that i have 10 months experience and a cold when i did these recordings.....

You play REALLY well. Much better then you give yourself credit for. I LOVED MOP and WAWO. I couldn't get DSD to open and I took your advice on Pity......., but you have a great voice and I think you played the songs VERY well. It rocked.

I still couldn't get it to. I couldn't get WTLF to either. Good luck on your copywriting and your own stuff, you are very talented.

My Own Prison:
Guitar work sounds great, when I play the solo, it sounds just the same! (I can only play the intro and solo of it). Even though your voice is different, I think your sound is great.

Pity for a Dime:
Having not heard this song a lot, I can't say much. The solo was good, not the same, but does sound spanish.

What's This Life For:
Hard song to sing, the intro is not correct as you said, but I can't play it, so no worries.

With Arms Wide Open:
The solo seemed a bit fast, but other than that, sounded good. Very clean cut, I like.

Don't Stop Dancing:
Probably the easist Creed song to play, except for the solo. You messed up on 2 or 3 notes on the solo, other than that, sounded good. As far as vocals, you sounded great.

If you think of playing professionally, I can see you playing acoustic. Rock ballads probably wouldn't go well with your voice. But then I haven't heard you with destorsation and drums.

yeah, my voice doesn't really go well with creed songs, the stuff i write is probably most comparable to like john mayer + a smidgeon of rock so it's not all sappy lol.

I actually just wrote my first rock song......but for some reason i think i sound like Curt Cobain.......uh oh......haha
