why is stapp hated so much?

Any opinions on why scott is hated so much.. he kicks ass.. rocks out... writes and performs great.. but it seems the media just downs him right off the bat.. what did he do to honestly deserve such bad media... he and his message are always positive.. i dont really understand........... any opinions on the matter at hand?

well its like this from a certian prespective and so fort there is no in between he is loved so much he is hated And thats defiintley a perfect formula its like the old school classic fourmula that a lot of great people of had Take Manson For One Either Loved Or Hated lets see who else right of my head Courntey Love Martin Luther King boy geroge the list could go on and on oh i feel the love!!! you cant please everybody as an artist or an indivual person so to speak SOMETIMES YOU JUST GOTTA BE YOURSELF like the new stuff it could say yes im a spitrual writer and im also human i can make mistakes just as the same as everybody else its not always perfect BUT I really Feel A LOT OF STRIFE in this new record so im sure perfection not to far behind the press and media for that matter have always have a field day with stapp with jokes remarks the same questions over and over and over i and over if i was he i would have done attacked some one haaaa like bjork but he handles very proffesional very hontest and that shows someone that is very level headed and going to continue all the milestones thats constaly throwed at him which makes him a great performer and a good writer One Of The Best Damn Writers that ever picked up a pen so hopefully he wont let all the morons get him

Because on one hand, he talks and sings about living a meaningful, upstanding life, while on the other hand, he gets drunk on stage, makes porn videos with Kid Rock, and throws stuff at his wife. People don't like that kind of hypocrisy.

ok well lets see yes, cant argue there !!! by no means scorpionking but people are so freaking judgemental anywas you can bet your ass OK LETS exclude being drunk on stage ...the porn and throws stuff at his wife NO people do not like that kinda of hypocrisy regardless of whatever floats their boats like so many things like the death of pantsy client they will get over it and move on !!! through walks and changes as an artist or person or peformer You Loose some and you gain some and sometimes it feels we loose more than we gain but thats all apart of it thats all apart of struggle and stregenth and what gives power to a great writer is those overwhelming struggless and issuie and irony just like all of creeds music and stapps wrting

True. No is perfect. And it has indeed been Stapp's struggles that have given much material create songs with. But to get back to the original question, Stapp wouldn't be so hated if he didn't look like a walking contradiction. Don't get me wrong, I love his music, and fully support his ambitions. Moreover, Stapp's behavior isn't exactly new to the world of rock. But his music is so rich and full of beautiful and meaningful messages, and he isn't afraid to say that his music is supposed to be meaningful, and to teach a lesson. But then, he turns around and does all sorts of outrageous behavior, and doesn't seem to actually live according to the values that are espoused in his music. He seems to talk the talk, but not walk the walk, and I think that this annoys lots of people who might otherwise have no problem with him.

And then of course, there was the whole controversy around the actual music, the supposed Christian messages, and the backlash against post-grunge. These probably just compounded things.

I agree, it's the conflicting message. But like Scorpion King stated, that's not new in rock. Others don't get the same treatment cause of it. Sometimes it's unfair also. Like I remember controvery at some VH1 blog awhile ago. Not wanting to get into particulars again, but it was all lies about Scott anyway. Vh1 didn't care they made rude comments on the Week in Review show still the same.

I could actually care less anymore. Some people are just judgemental wackos who rip on people for the littlest thing even though they do the same things. They rip on Stapp for things like that and they go home and do the same, it's just that nobody knows, because guess what, they're not famous. Even christians like Stapp do that, but nobody knows....I'm one, and I do stupid things a whole heck of a lot, but no one cares because I'm not a famous rock star.

Some celebs are just polarized by the media. It happens. It happens in music, film, sports, everything. Although personally, I think Stapp has brought a lot on himself.

I haven't heard anything at all about him lately though.

i agree 100 percent will not argue about talking the talk and not walking the walk and some outrageous behavior deffentliy shows that in full light but just like JT said Its hard for him b/c whatever does its going be put in the spotlight because he is famous WE SEE A NEGATIVE SIDE AND WE SEE A POSTIVE SIDE and people are going to look and foucous on that Negative before they give the postive a chance and scotts lyrics has i always foucused around THAT WALK and the talk for the matter WE HEARED JUSTIFIED that song is sending a message also again from the bible which was taken from the book of job NO MAN IS JUSTIFIED and all through those chapters GOD speaks of his ways IT just so a hard place and when most christians of today you bring up the book of job that book is more avoided that book no christian wants to face jobs agoney And if most people wont be so judgemental and do the instuctions and that follows christian faith that unheared message is sorta brought to life DONT JUDGE OTHERS , and its odvious he has not hid by no means by tell fans IM going through hardtimes right now i,ve got friends going through the same things right now its just not brought up on VHI or a current affair and the only person we ourselves as to awnser to at the end of the DAY is God and if people would respective the postive over the negative which they never do that would proabley be given ARE TORN STAPPY A NOW LET ME REMIND this is the guy who belted out torn would be given him a high a 5 at the end of they day and thats a message that backs all my friends now furthermore if they are more at ease with those who walk and talk oh we,ve got jars of clay casting growns and third day stapp draws christian audinces and when it gets hard enough before back slding haaaaaaaaa cometh at that end of that walk they will wanna here a stappy song no no no you can judge a walk unless you have walked yourself and no i cant justify stapps walk or other proclamied fans or christian who judges him nor can i fight the press Oh But i know What the good word says and one is gossip is no good and being famous that comes with package and stapp being christian has to deal with all this issuies so hopefully we can pray for the guy that he acomplishes what he needs with this new record and tour and for the rest TO sweep in front of their own door and furthermore what all he is been through it would be really easy for him to tell everybody just that BUT THAT RIGHT there is man is proof of the CLOSER walk with thee he deals and presents his fans and the press with all love and respect
