why do people hate creed?!?!?

hey people first time here!!

just wanted to know if you had any thoughts on why some people hate creed?? I have also read that some other bands hate them as well.

what are your thoughts??

I dont know why people _hate_ them, but many dislike them cuz they are pretty unoriginal, yet very popular. Sorta like Nelly lol. And stapps ego comes into play too...

Most of the people who don't like Creed say that they are unoriginal, a Pearl Jam ripoff, and a Christian rock band. Those things have been run into the ground so I'm not even gonna bother talking about them. Some people might not like like them because they are "mainstream". Most people probably don't even give them a chance and actually listen to the albums. They can listen to whatever the heck they want, but they are missing out.

As for other bands not liking Creed, they are probably just jealous of Creed's success or maybe because they actually have a positive message.

Cuz they are unoriginal, and stapp had big ego... mosly cuz they are unoriginal thou. Beatles, Jimi and Zepp were all original.
Also all bands respected by other musicians (Massive Attack, Tool, Ben Harper, Tom Waits, Mike Patton, Damon Albarn of Blur, Dan The Automator, etc) are truly unique, that's it.

Jim Morrison had the biggest of ego's.. Mick Jagger was the same...
But they are in the music's history...
They are hated sometimes because people are ignorant...

I agree with Dan!
People love "crap music" that sings about drugs, rape, violence etc... For some reason it draws them in. That does not say much about our soceity!

But as for Creed I agree with Dan, people are missing out! I think they are hated by others due to the fact they "did it on their own" and did not need the industry to get them where they are, and to other bands that causes jelousy!!! People for some reason hate Stapp, he is "sure of himself" and a strong thinking man, he stands for everything other men can't seem to get and ALL WOMEN LOVE!!!!!! A good looking, smart, spiritual, soulful man ALWAYS gets the crap, it is plain and simple JELOUSY of others!!!!!

To me, all people who hate Creed or think they are ripoffs of other bands, haven't listened to Creed enough to really hear or appreciate their music. All my friends in my dorm know I love Creed, and some just think they're "good" or "crappy." One guy even wanted to get me a shirt he saw that said "Even Jesus Hates Creed." Those are the type of people that are prejudice against people, races, religions, and whatever else mostly because someone else is and told them to. They haven't given anything a chance to see if they like it or not, and in my mind, if you don't know anything about what you are discriminating against, they have no room to talk.

I guess what it comes down to is:
People who like/love Creed = Smart.
People who hate/bash Creed = "Un-educated."

CREED FOREVER!

You and Dan are so right, Jen. I feel the same way. Their music has a positive, uplifting message and for some reason (that I don't understand) some people don't like it. IMO, their sound is different than most groups that I've heard so they aren't ripping anybody off. As for Scott, Jen is right. Women Love him because he has a caring, loving spirit and he amazes me with his wisdom and sensitivity through his lyrics.
