Take my hand

Take this time
Wrap it up in plastic
Find in it our suffocation
And all that never lasted.

Take these words
Keep them in your pocket
Find in them some solace
Bitterness will mock them.

Take it all from me
It’s all I have to give
Find in it all we’ve known
Pour it through a sieve.

Take what will never be again
Before it’s all gone for good.
Did you like it? Now it’s gone.
Find it again? You never could.

WOW, Aimee...man, that takes me somewhere for sure...I especially love these two verses:
