Scott talks about billboard awards

got this from Creedpit from someone who got it from Launch , I thought you might find it interesting! I especially like the part Scott says " we're normal people like everyone else"

Creed joined Puddle Of Mudd and Nickelback with the most wins among rock acts at the 2002 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas Monday (December 9) with four, including group/duo of the year.

This is not the first time the multiplatinum rockers have earned such accolades, but this time the awards closed out a year that also included the death of the mother of guitarist Mark Tremonti; plus a car accident, throat ailment, and highly publicized domestic incident for frontman Scott Stapp.

Stapp says their success at this year's Billboards was something special. "Tonight's a shock, to win four awards, you know, especially...what was it, group of the year...you know, that's an accomplishment for us. And we're just happy to be here and we're looking for anything to bring a smile to our face. You know, we're not always walking around with our fist up, trying to be mad and write mean things. You know, we're normal people like everybody else."

Creed also performed outdoors atop the high-rise Stratosphere for the show. "It was fun," Tremonti said, although he admitted, "It was a little chilly up there."

Ya i read that off Launch too,...... Hes way underspoiled, Creed deserves 10 awards not 4

Rock on! That's so good to hear. They are so great. What a wonderful group of guys! I needed to hear something like that from them. It seems there has been so much negativity lately, it gives me a sigh of releif to hear the good things.

Does anyone know where I could find video of Creed's acceptance speeches for their Billboard awards??? I saw the Stratosphere performance but I wanna see more!!
