Presidential Election '04
Who's going to get your vote? If you aren't old enough to vote yet, who would you vote for? This is something I feel strongly about, I don't care who you want to win, as long as you can back it up with good valid reasoning and more importantly, go out and vote. Personally, I haven't made up my mind, I'm a registered republican, so I can't take part in the primaries... we'll see who comes out of that. I'm not real keen on Bush getting reelected, but, I don't want a Howard Dean in office either. Also, does religion play a part in who you vote for(to keep it on topic)? And how so??

I'm voting for Bush. He makes quick decisive actions, and actually has morals. That's not only something rare among politicians, but among today's society in general.

I'm voting for Bush, too, b/c he, as Colin stated, has morals. I'm afraid this war controversy's gonna be played out too much by the liberal media; I love where W. stands w/ regard to abortions, taxes, death penalty, affirmative action, education, etc. I've taken many a political quiz, and I seem to match up w/ him most frequently (when they have politicians listed as an indicator of where you stand). Thus, religion plays a significant role in my vote. Not to the point that I'd vote for a preacher (the Rev. Al), but for a cool, moralistic dude. I'm glad Howard Dean's been sinking like a rock lately. Sure, it would make Bush's reelection easier (Kerry's gonna be a formidable opponent). But Dean's quite the asshole. In the very least, Kerry's a likeable guy, but nowhere near the politician Bush is when it comes to the issues I support.

If you read the question, bgivens is wondering how religion will play a role in the candidate for whom we vote. Bush, we feel, has morals, which (time for my sarcastic understatement of the year...) are often closely associated with religion. Thus, religion will play a role in choosing our next president for some of us. See the connection now?

LOL heck yeh!
America is so different to Australia. We are very cynical of our leaders. We expect them to let us down or lie. Most of us think they are a joke half the time. U guys are so patriotic. You really get passionate about supporting the person U vote for. It's really strange compared to here.
