Re: Houston show Review

I was there at the show and I thought they did great. Nobdoy sounds the same 5-10 years later. Let's get over the "scott's voice" and enjoy that the boys are back. I have seen alot of show's in my time and they still put on one of the better show's. I would go see the same show tomorrow if they were in Houston.

Re: Houston show Review

Thanks for your review, dj5. So much is said, especially at abb.net, about Scott's voice at this show. I guess they're so jealous it's not AB getting all these opportunities. Scott's voice probably took time to warm up and then once he is, there's no problem. Plus they probably were alittle nervous with all the extra cameras around. I know I would see them again anytime too.

Re: Houston show Review

overall whole show is great i thought.

track by track below;

Bullets

Good opener, the live riff is much better than the album version i think and with two guitars it's really heavy

Overcome

Probably the best live version of this i've heard, the solo is kick ass, can't wait for the new album

My Own Prison

As Stapp introduces it as going back to the start it's a great tune and a great live version too

Say I
Never Die
Torn

Great old school section of the setlist here but they could have added Weathered to the setlist also.

A 1,000 Faces

Great to hear another new song from Full Circle, now heard 1000 faces, Overcome, Rain and Full Circle from the new album and on that basis it's going to rock, let the countdown begin.

What If / Guitar Duel

In the breakdown of the track Eddie and Mark have a guitar solo duel which is always nice to throw into a live track, nice that Creed add something different to thier live tracks

Unforgiven

Love the live version of this, so kick ass!

Are You Ready?
What's This Life For?
Faceless Man

Another great section of the setlist but could have added Young Grow Old also. Faceless Man is epic and What's this life for was really cool to hear also.

With Arms Wide Open
My Sacrifice

Ending the main set with two of their biggest hits was a great idea. Arms and Sacrifice work really well back to back, nicely done guys.

-Encore Break

One
One Last Breath
Higher

Great encore, One is always great to here as it's probably my favourite track from the first album, last breath is great too and Higher as always is amazing.

overall I thought it was a great show.

the setlist i'd have done though would be:

overall whole show is great i thought.

Bullets
Overcome
My Own Prison
Say I
Never Die
Weathered
Torn
A 1,000 Faces
Young Grow Old
What If
Unforgiven
Are You Ready?
What's This Life For?
Faceless Man
Rain
With Arms Wide Open
My Sacrifice

-Encore Break

One
One Last Breadth
Higher

Re: Houston show Review

After watching 10 shows the first listen was at work and 1 thought what is this rubbish it sounded average at best.

HOWEVER after going home and hooking it up to my tv with stereo speakers it sounded 200% better amazing. I think it's poor how people are going by you tube and this live performance and saying Stapp has lost his voice. Off poorer speakers etc

While he doesn't quite get the higher notes like he used too. As the tour went on he's got better. A lot of it is lack of practice and some is just voice changing all older bands this happens with.

In Feb I am seeing Faith no More now after 14 years I expecting Roddy's voice to be different. But they are back same with Creed. They are back live it up

Re: Houston show Review

I wish I could have seen this, but it was on at 2am over here, and that's a littler past my bed-time.

I listened to the audio though and they sounded amazing. I hope the DVD gets a region 2 release, as well as the US region 1.

I still have hopes that Creed might just tour here one day, however, they are ant-sized hopes. Alter Bridge toured here, albeit in small clubs, so I think Creed could...however, somehow I don't think they will. I think it's a bit of a mind-f*ck to do huge stadiums and then do the Academy here in Manchester...

You're in the UK aren't you?

I would love Creed to come here. Don't forget that Creed have 75% of the same line-up as Alter Bridge, so i'm sure they wouldn't mind playing small clubs, but the labels etc may have a problem with that.

Yeah, Wind-up seem like a serious bitch.

I wonder why Creed chose to go back to them, unless there was a clause in their contract from before or something.
