Tremonti / Chris Jericho Article
Just a follow-up to Michael's post about Mark and Chris Jericho
FOZZY: Ex-MEGADETH Guitarist FRIEDMAN, CREED's TREMONTI To Guest On New CD - Apr. 29, 2004 FOZZY frontman Chris Jericho (of WWE fame) recently spoke to The Arizona Republic about his wrestling career and his burgeoning role as heavy-metal singer. Asked if he has ever met any of the bands whose songs FOZZY has covered, Jericho replied, "We've met quite a few, actually, that are fans of the band. At first, they were fans of the fact that we were doing covers and I was a wrestler. But now they're becoming fans of our music. We're currently working on our third album, which will be all originals, and Zakk Wylde from BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and Ozzy Osbourne's band is playing a solo with us. Mark Tremonti from CREED and Marty Friedman of MEGADETH, BONE CRUSHER, this big-time rapper, are all appearing." Asked if that means the novelty has worn off and now people are seeing the real band, Jericho said, "Exactly, the novelty can only last for one or two records, and if we wanted to continue the band, it had to become all original tunes. If nobody cared about the band, nobody came to the shows, then I'd think twice about continuing. But it seems to be snowballing — we're getting an international cult following, sold about 100,000 records, played gigs in Australia, Japan and Germany. And the band just keeps getting better, gives me more of a reason to continue, to be a legitimate kick-ass rock band." As previously reported, FOZZY are currently recording their the follow-up to 2002's "Happenstance", entitled "All That Remains", at a studio in Atlanta for a tentative August release through an as-yet-undisclosed label (the band were previously signed to Megaforce Records).

As far as I'm aware, no they haven't.
As for the article, that's a cool update on them. Thanks for posting it. H-D

Wow, this is weird because I never knew how succesful Fozzy actually were, I didn't even know Jericho had a band until I read up on it. Awesome stuff.
