Guys I am sooooooo ADDICTED to these two cds right now! Maynard's voice is so hypnotizing ,I can't help but listen to them over and over again! I don't think I've listened to anything else in like weeks! I NEED to see them in concert! I mean check out my new signature for goodness sake!

I know exactly what you mean. The Noose and Pet do that to me as well, so does Gravity and Weak and Powerless...the first line to that song, Tilling my own grave to keep me level...OMG!

I hear ya Kerri! They all do it for me! Like I've said before there's just something soooo hyponotizing about his voice that just drags you in and then you can't leave now what I mean! I guess that's why I have been soo addicted to them lately! Not too mention looking at him is pretty fun too!

I am almost embarrased to say this in this thread but I know nothing about these guys - and after being on this thread the other day I almost bought this CD (it is on sale at Target this week!) but I didn't. Will I love it? Tell me kinda like genre and gist of it - please?

It's awesome Julbright! Buy it! I don't even know how to begin to describe the music. It's just very intense and Maynard the singer has this voice that just makes you melt! It's not like Creed! So, if you are looking for something new go for it! You won't be disappointed!

Julbright, do you know Tool's music at all? Their lead singer, Maynard James Keenan, is also the singer for A Perfect Circle. It's definitely rock, but to me it's more prog rock...lots of off-beat timing and such. Some dark, brutal lyrics on some of the songs, as well, though Gravity offers up a little hope from Maynard. I definitely wouldn't call them upbeat, LOL...Maynard's got a great voice, lots of range, and very emotional. There is some growling on their first album (Mer de Noms--AWESOME CD), but Thirteenth Step is a little more mellow though just as good as Mer de Noms IMO. The other members of APC are Billy Howerdel (guitar) James Iha (guitar) Jeordie White (bass) and Josh Freese (drums)...It's a really tight band. Iha and Billy also do some backing vocals.

I knew you would be able to describe it better than I could. I just love it! Listened to it last night while i was relaxing in the bath! Weird place to listen but it was awesome just the same!

LOL, you did a fine job, Kris! You're right, it's intense and quite definitely different from Creed. I second what you said to Julbright...BUY IT....NOW!!!!
