Let's Try This Again....
Does anyone have any NON-MAJOR recording artists (those that are moreso regional or local, and not national acts) that they could recommend? I'd prefer this doesn't digress again to just any CD recommendations in general, as it did last time (see thread "CD recommendations?"). NON-MAJOR recording artists only!

THE MARS VOLTA!!!! De-loused in the Comatorium. It's awesome! Yes, they are on Universal, but just starting to get some press...
This is Yes meets Rush meets Zeppelin...Very different, not for everybody, but the more I listen to it, the more discoveries I make. Comes With The Fall -- The Year Is One (Self-released, not signed) Originally from Atlanta, but now based in L.A., it's familiar yet different. Influences I detect: Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, Mudhoney, Green River...Three-piece band that kicks a**, especially live! Smashdown, Murder Scene, So Cruel, and Unbreakable are a few of my favorite tunes. They backed up Jerry Cantrell on his last tour, but they can fly solo with aplomb. I love these guys. Their web site is comeswiththefall.com. You can download their whole first album, which sadly is out of print right now. Word has it they are trying to get more copies printed.

Awesome, Said Eyes! I just this night ordered my ticket for the Philly show. I'm so stoked. A friend of mine saw them in Houston, I think, and said they totally rocked! My concert is a week from Tuesday. I can't WAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT!

Check out my friends' band: Blind Pedestrian. You can download two songs at the site and also find a link to their mp3 site. There you can get a few more songs.
