"Marlins Soar" Posted
Here's the Marlins song that Scott did "Marlins Soar" (not the greatest quality)
http://93rock.com/rockreport/rockrep...5.html?_form=1 I like "You Will Soar" but this is very cheesy lol By the way I think I spotted Flip's drums in the background... I could be wrong. Here's a couple pics from the game (looks like Scott is growing his hair ) http://nimg.sulekha.com/entertainmen...9-21-31-24.jpg http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l0...p3dco1_500.jpg |

Damn that was truly the worst thing he has ever put out. I seriously wan't to kick him in the nuts for doing that to You Will Soar. Feels like he sold out a bit. That made me question why I still listen to this guy...damn.

Yeah... well not much you can do with a baseball song lol they should have just used a Creed song or something else from The Great Divide imo.

I have a feeling he wasn't taking himself too seriously when making this. |

Yeah, nice to see the fans. That guy who won the guitar, looked like the luckiest day of his life.

Re: "Marlins Soar" Posted
It wasn't that bad, but it was clear that he used the original recording of the chorus and replaced the verses with new vocals. It sounded like he sang those 2 parts differently - I don't think it blended together 100%.

Re: "Marlins Soar" Posted
Pretty sure nagpo's point was that Stapp actually rewrote the lyrics to be the cheesy take me out to the ball game.
Queen's song were not written for sports, they were written for their cd's to be an actual part of their material, sports teams just use the song as is, with no modifications, because it coincidentally fits really well. Had they rewritten it to be "Marlins are the Champions" or "Marlins bite the dust" the same comments would be made about them that are being made about Stapp. |

Re: "Marlins Soar" Posted
Just watched it, sounds good.
I wouldn't say he's "back" in the early days sense, but he's definitely got control over his pitch issues again, which is good to hear. His voice has definitely taken a turn for the baritone. |

Re: "Marlins Soar" Posted
As long as he has control over his pitch/tone then I'm definitely satisfied.

Very good live performance, better than what we've been hearing.

Re: "Marlins Soar" Posted
He had great control over his vocals and didn't sound all horse and blown out. If he can just stop trying to scream so much and just sing, I think the Creed / Scott Stapp Band concerts would go much better for him and the fans! He is an awesome singer and can really belt the notes!
