Creed was just on Last Call...for 5 seconds :P
The Creed guys were on Last Call with Carson Daly a few minutes ago (1:45 AM here). It was some recap thing at Billboard, the host-guy said that they were the "blueprint for religion in rock" and asked if they had any advice for a Jewish guy. The guys just kinda stood there and said, "I dunno." Almost not worth watching, but I didn't know that they would be on, so it was a pleasant surprise :P .
I'm really tired now... |

I'm sooooo tired of the whole Creed/religion tie. That is getting so old. And what a jacka** question to ask them. Carson Daly is a knucklehead.

I know, but this is the thing that most made me like Creed! I liked this about them!

That's cool, Marcos. I don't mind that there are spiritual and biblical images in their music. I just don't like the Christian band label the media keep sticking on them.

I know... me too! That´s really unconfortable to them, and even to Christians, like, for example, if they mess something up (not saying they will) people will say "see, they´re Christian and did that?"... They kinda loss their privacy, don´t you think?

I agree. Because the media have stuck that label on them as they have, as we have all seen, anything that can be construed as "non-Christian" gets picked up on right away. How many rumors do you hear about other rock bands and women backstage? But because it's Creed and they're so "Christian rock" they get nailed to the cross (no pun intended really) for rumors about them and their exploited stories.

Yeah, I'm sick and tired of the label not only the media gave them , but the public. My friend a while ago was talking to someone about Christian Rock and he said the only good christian rock bands around are Creed and P.O.D, that really pissed me off because they are not a christian rock band. I was going to get into it with him, but I figured it wouldnt help any.

No, Scott, you're right, it's really not worth getting into it. Once people have their minds made up about something like this, nothing you say will change them. Unless they listen a lot and become die hard fans and learn from others, they'll keep listening with that same attitude. It sucks.

Yeah!!!! I totally agree, I think of Creed as the "thinking persons music" not screaming and obsenities. Most people think unless you are obnoxious all the time you MUST be a religious band!

Also, Christian rock carries such a negative connotation to non-Christian types that they won't even give the music a chance. I'm not a fan of Christian rock, and to me, Creed do not fit that label in the least. So many people are too quick to judge without doing their homework.

although...
I think it´s not a negative thing being labeld as a Christian band... I, as a Christian, can say they´re not (Creed)... The negative thing is that people make it soooo BIG, that´s unnecessary... like if it was a sin... Coz you know, dealing with spiritual matters, make people think when listening the lyrics, have positive messages don´t make a band Christian... That´s the way Creed is, Stapp and Mark´s words...
