there is some older stuff I want to buy as well, such as Year of the Rabbit. I've downloaded a couple of songs and its preddy good stuff. Anyone familiar with YOTR or other bands Ken Andrews has being in such as On or Failure? Worth my money?

Yes, I have the YOTR CD. They opened for A Perfect Circle during the fall tour! They sort of remind me of a lighter version of the Foo Fighters. Not groundbreaking stuff, but it grew on me. I almost didn't buy the CD after the show, but one song (Absent Stars) really stuck on me, so I gave it a chance. I love listening to it in the car. Good driving music. I got into Failure because of YOTR, who have since broken up, I believe. Anyway, pick up Failure's Fantastic Planet. Really good stuff! I have another one, but I listen to FP the most. It's a mood-setting themed album. I really like it. I don't have the ON stuff, though.

thanks kerri so failure is better i take it and yes i think they've broken up. ON is ken's solo stuff but i think i'll start with failure. after downloading one of their songs i was shocked to know i had heard it before named "rabbit hole".

Yeah, Rabbit Hole is the first song on the YOTR CD. Other good ones are Lie Down and Vaporize. Yes, Failure is better, IMO, but you wouldn't be wasting your money if you got the YOTR CD.

Also, on APC's Thirtheenth Step is a cover of a Failure song: The Nurse Who Loved Me. That's on Fantastic Planet, is a much better version than APC's. Live, though, APC kicked ass on The Nurse Who Loved Me. They did a very cool alternate version with lower vocals and more aggressive guitars.

oh okay so that is a failure song...i don't really like apc's version although that live version is very good.
