Creed Speed
I guess I have too much time on my hands lol but I have a great Metronome app called "Beats" & I compared speeds from 'Creed Live' to their original tempos on the albums... one thing I found out which I never really knew is that it sounds like the guys never used a click track on the albums at all (so it seems) most songs were never a consistent tempo, they usually sped up in the chorus' and slowed down in the verses etc. (same way live) So anyway here are the "BPM" or Beats Per Minute for each song, again these are rough estimates...
Bullets: Album: 243bpm Live: 282bpm Overcome: Album: 195bpm Live: 214bpm My Own Prison: Album: 140bpm Live: 155bpm Say I: Album: 155bpm Live: 172bpm Never Die: Album: 176bpm Live: 204bpm Torn: Album: 145bpm Live: 160bpm A Thousand Faces: Album: 150bpm Live: 160bpm What If: Album: 149bpm Live: 165bpm Unforgiven: Album: 240bpm Live: 277bpm Are You Ready: Album: 145bpm Live: 164bpm What's This Life For: Album: 142bpm Live: 152bpm Faceless Man: Album: 140bpm Live: 152bpm With Arms Wide Open: Album: 140bpm Live: 150bpm My Sacrifice: Album: 146bpm Live: 163bpm One: Album: 111bpm Live: 122bpm One Last Breath: Album: 128bpm Live: 138bpm Higher: Album: 155bpm Live: 165bpm For those who don't really know much about a metronome or bpm... it doesn't shift too much unless you bump it up or down around 5 or so... which means the guys are playing each song almost 2X to 7X faster than they originally recorded it (& used to play it live) lol Unforgiven probably had the biggest gap in speed which is seriously ridiculous. Anyway I thought it was interesting... I just hope to God they slow down ASAP. |

Re: Creed Speed
If they were playing it 2X faster each song would be in the 200's and 7X would be in the 700 bpm range. Its obvious Mark is playing a little faster but not by that much lol.

Re: Creed Speed
I was going by the 5bpm increments that I was referring to... if you take "A Thousand Faces" for instance (10bpm apart) the live version would be twice as fast as the album version.

Re: Creed Speed
If they slowed it down Stapp would probably be able to perform better.
