2 kids in 3 weeks...

Hey Everyone. Wow... so in the past 3 weeks 2 kids at my school got killed. The first happend 3 weeks ago. Although i did not personally know him, many of my close friends did. He got shot in the head when he was in his friends car. Well in the end it turned out someone shot him because he stole $20 worth of weed from the person who shot him. Now i think he took it a little too far. its so disappointing to know that someone would do that.
And then a friend of mine got killed yesterday, march 12. he will be missed by many people at school myself included. he always made everyone smile and laugh. im so upset by this news and also worried. ever since the first kid got shot, the whole school has gone downhill. within 5 days, 11 fights broke out in school. one kid got charged with assult and expelled from school, all the other kids just got suspended and stuff like that because they were all under 18. Im just so upset with all of this, its hard to believe that all of this is happening. its also kinda scary too... i mean its not so hard for some random person to bring a gun to school and start shooting. yeah, we have security gaurds and everything but school just doesnt seem like a safe place to be anymore and the whole idea is disappointing, if ya know what i mean. i shouldnt have to be scared to go to school...

Wow, that's awful for you and your school. It's a shame kids don't feel safe in schools anymore. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of those killed and to you and your school, Tremontichik.

Sorry to hear that... I remember last year when 2 guys (both juniors, a year younger than me) died in a car accident, going fairly fast down a fairly narrow road on a rainy friday night (no alcohol involved)... didn't know them, but some juniors i knew did... it was surreal the next day (sat) at the football game.. it was a playoff game, but it was eerily quiet on our side of the stands (though we were the home team)... the team managed to win (though many of the star players were juniors and knew these 2 guys)... then the next week, they took the funeral procession by the school, and that was amazingly long... twas a sad few weeks @ school for many people... i'll keep y'all in my prayers

I kinda had something like that happen before. I went to grade school in Ohio before I moved to Michigan, and there was a kid named Ryan in my 3rd grade class. I went to school in Ohio for half my 3rd grade year, then in 89 my family moved to Michigan. Well in Sept of 96 Ryan and another kid that I didn't know were killed in a car accident He was only 16 to, that really had an impact on me! I only knew him for half a school year and that really hit me hard Just goes to show that death is no respecter of persons. I'm not really sure how the accident happened, I've heard that they were drunk and high and I've heard that they weren't. Not sure what to believe. It was wierd, cuz a kid that lived in the next town over was killed in a seperate accident at around the same time Ryan was killed!

Oh my gosh that is so horrible. Something is extremely with people when they need a gun to solve their problems for them.

Tremontichik, I'm so sorry to hear about all of this and the loss of your friend. It's so sad and scary what's going on in schools today. Like you said, school is supposed to be a safe place. You, the families and friends of those killed will be in my thoughts and prayers.
