Alterbridge Namm 2005 Report!!
Well guys, I'm back from NAMM, boy was it tiring, I must have walked close to 20 miles within the convention center. I have to admit the that trip was worth while because Alterbridge DID play at the PRS party on Friday night. I have tons of shot's too many to count right now. I also video taped the entire show but unfortunately the sound quality is very poor. The video quality is A+!! The reason the sound quality was bad was because I was standing underneath Mark so the sound is all distorted and you don't really hear Miles's voice beacue Brians bass drew it all out. I did film the first 3 songs from further back so those came out ok and the best one is prolly "In Loving Memory". The video is awesome!
The party started with Carlos Santana at 7:30 , then Dave Navarro , Alterbridge didn't come on until about midnight, they played what seemed to be a pretty long time, about 3 covers also and they invited a couple of friends onstage to Jam with them. One of them was his friend Michael Angelo. Victoria was standing next to me on the floor, she looks very pretty, she has a very natural look to her which is common in mother's to be She looked like she was having agood time but i can tell she was getting a bit tired too. OK, I have to tell this funny story now. I wanted to tell Mark this story but he wasn't at NAMM on Saturday, I think they were playing a show that night somewhere else, so Mark , if you ever read this, send me a PM or something cause it's funny. I was right up front, it was late and most of the crowd had gone home already, Alterbridge was playing to a crowd of no more than 150 people of which maybe 35 were up front, large gaps inbetween everyone, it felt like I was watching a new band that no one knew about, anyways, there's this guy standing behind me, rockin out with Mark, then he shouts, "Mark, you rock"!! , Mark looks over at him , smiles, grabs a pic from his mic stand, and throws it at the guy. I see the pic fly over my head. Next thing I know the guy is looking for the pic everywhere behind me and he can't find it, he must have looked for about 10 minutes, he never found it. Hmmm, what happened to the mysterious dissapearing pic? Guess What. Later on that night, I reached into my back jean pocket and there I found the Alterbridge pic that Mark had thrown at this guy!!!!!! The chances of something like this happening are close to non-existent!! I couldn't beleieve that this pic landed in my back pocket, what a trip!!! I gotta say, that along with everything else, made my night. Alterbridge rocked the house, they played awesome and everyone had a great time, a very very intimate show. Did you try right clicking the link and saving it as? That's what I did(and I have ZoneAlarm firewall) and it worked fine for me. Anyway, sounds like you had an awesome time!

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. Thanks!! I love that man in shades! Plus, he was wearing an Alice shirt, a very cool one for the Dirt album.

Here's Myles, he was great. Seems like a really nice guy, before the show at NAMM I was sitting outside by the curb and he pulled up right next to me with a girl, I looked at him and he looked back, I was tired and didn't say anything to him, the only thing that would have come out of my mouth was "you rock man!" but I'm sure he's heard that before so I just left it at that.
