KimV, My heart goes out to you about your brother. My sister was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1996. My thoughts on OLB is the same as yours. I believe God knows our limits and at the same he wants to make our faith stronger. My prayers and thoughts are with you. God Bless

Everyone will be in my prayers too. I had a friend when I was younger who had the bipolar disorder. I've lost touch with her but I still think of her often, especially when I hear certain songs. She was a music lover too and we spent a lot of time together listening to music.

Thanx Tia67 and MrCreedFreakTN for your prayers! You guys are so nice - I've said it before - so many great people on this bb that I've never even met, yet I'd consider them my friends! And all because we share a love and passion for the greatest band - CREED!

Message to Creed: Your efforts to promote unity, love, peace and hope have definitely caught on here at CreedFeed, it is so obvious in the majority of posts appearing here. There is a mutual respect for mankind here, and a respect for others' opinions (most of the time, anyway!) and it all started because we have a common bond in our love for your band and the message you give in your music. PEACE....

Thanks, Teri, my faith has grown by leaps and bounds over the last 7 months or so, seeing God answer prayers and watch over us and carry us through this trial with my bro. God is awesome, and so are you, my friends here @ CreedFeed!!!

That was nice of you to do Marcos - just like you.

I guess I never wrote on this thread,,,,guess I was thinking of the old board.

This song is the song that connected me to Creed and I still feel an ache in my heart when I hear it. When I first heard it I was in a dark place grieving the loss of my husband. He had died from surgery complications from a biopsy to be put on a lung transplant list. After 21 days, we had to remove life support and I remember his one last breath.

To me the song is about realizing that life is filled with uncertainty at times and while there is darkness, the sense of feeling near the edge, there is also a sense of hope, if we 'hold on' to our faith and believe. Close to the edge, six feet, maybe like the depth of a coffin. It's a feeling of being lost, the road to nowhere and not knowing where to escape from and what must feel like hell. At least that is what I felt like at the time. And, yet, there is also a sense of faith and strength to reach out - a sense of hope. It seems to speak of the possibility to bridge two worlds of dark and light or sorrow and joyful memories - to know that you can still feel the pain of 'sad eyes following you' and yet be hopeful in the light and believe that 'there is something left for me."
A moving song for me...one that has been a part of my healing process - and I thank CREED FOR THIS and all my buddies at concerts that have reached out to me when this song was played!

Souldancer:
That was so moving......It's amazing how Creed's songs have touched so many people in so many different ways. I'm really happy that they were there when you needed them. I know many of their songs have certainly touched my heart. Some in good ways others not, but that's okay too.
We all put our own spin on the songs we hear. I think that's why Scott S. hates to say what the songs mean. He always says "it means what you want it to mean". That's very true. My life experiences shape the way I view each song and interpret it.
So, to me OLB means hope and being scared about it.

I remember it as my first conversation with Satan ..."

Souldancer, thank you for sharing that story. It just proves to me again how powerful their music is and how it touches our lives. I hope the music continues to be a healing thing for you and everyone else that it touches.
