Question for TOOL fans
Apparently some versions of the CD Lateralus spell the song Lateralus as Lateralis...Is this a mistake or is it really spelled Lateralus? I ask because someone was selling the version with the IS ending on eBay claiming it was a collector's item. I'm just curious because my version spells the song title with the IS ending. At first, I thought it was like the Aenima/Aenema difference on that CD.
Thanks. I'm still relatively new to Tool (last year) so I don't know all the history yet.

Proper spelling is Lateralus, the one with "i" is a typo they had on first print run of CD's.
Many people thought it was intentional, cuz pervious album was called "AEnima", and hand track called "AEnema". But this time arund it was just a silly typo. Or maybe it's a conspiracy... hummm....

How many first-run prints did they make? You know Lechium? It probably could be a collectors item eventually.

I was wondering that, too, Steve...The eBay bid was 9.99, so I'm thinking it might not be that rare. Dunno, though. Anything's possible. It's weird, because I never get those odd misprints or rarities. For once, I have one, LOL.

They made over million copies in first print run, so it's hardly a rare collectable, although I'd prefere it corrected version, cuz Lateralis just sounds cool.
P.S. if you ever try to sell typo version on e-bay make sure to accent that its the first print run, rare typo, and a major collectable lol P.P.S. yeah well I'm bored now so ima back... not that you guys wount regret it soon lol
