Re: Carnival of Madness

Was at the gig in Atlantic city, NJ last night. I had mixed feelings about being there seeing as how AB wasn't headlining, but of course it was all good once they took the stage. There were way more Alter Bridge shirts in there than Theory. Before Emphatic went on they played a recorded intro for the Carnival of Madness tour. As the bands were called out the place erupted for AB then we heard 13 or so people call out for Theory :-) I'm sure a lot of those fans just weren't there yet, but it was still cool. After AB's abbreviated set, we saw all the metalheads bolt and the cutsie girls rushed in for Theory. I didn't stay for Theory either...hung out in the lobby for a while to see if we could catch Alter Bridge, but that didn't happen. I did see Mark's tech though as he was walking by. I called out "Hey what's up Ernie?" He walked over like he thought he knew me, then stoped and said "I walked out the wrong door again." then turned around.

Myles tried to make a joke in between songs at one point. He asked if anyone was doing any gambling since the venue is in a casino. He followed that up with "Well, I'm a musician so i gamble my life away every day...on a dream." There was a pause, then he said "Wow, that might be the dumbest thing I ever said on the mic."

I think the set was the same aas the one mentioned above. Overall it was a great show as usual...just a shame they werent headlining. Now hopefully it won't be too long before the next album and a tour come around.
