As far as I know nothing "official" has been said about the rumors but when Scott was on the Craig Kilborn show last month, Craig asked him if the band was breaking up and Scott said "no", that they're taking a "hiatus" and doing their own thing. Don't know if this answers your question or not but I wasn't sure if you caught the show.
