i heard a special on the radio a long time ago where the lead singer talked about brick and he said that he had gotten his girlfriend pregnant and they had to have an abortion without her parents finding out and that he had to take back all of his christmas presents to pay for it and that he drove her to have the abortion in a car that was so old that the smoke coming out of it smelled like coal. After I heard him explain the song it made a lot more sense to me once I heard it. Great song!
