I highly doubt it's dammed. We're talking the curse of fighting a battle you can't win, not beavers.

Any songwriter worth his salt would never use a lyrics as lame as "dammed" unless they were actually talking about the freaking animal.

And stapp/tremonti are damn fine songwriters, apart, but especially together.
