Creed Documentary was filmed over a 4 to 5 year period which began during the recording of My Own Prison. In the process, an extensive library of audio and video footage was created which would eventually become part of the Creed Documentary. Creed has sold over 25 million records in the U.S., making them one of the top selling artists ever.

With the break-up of the band in 2004, the documentary project was basically shelved. No final decision has been made by the band's record label whether or not to ever release this material in DVD format.
