that's awesome, i saw a story about that in the NY Times this morning (we get it "free" in our campus bookstore).
it's somewhat ironic, tho. in my PLS 232-International Relations class, we do a group debate every week or every other (depending on where we are). so, anyway, i'm in the debate next week that deals w/ Israeli/Palestinian relations (I'm on the pro-Israel side). Our text provides outlines for all these debate topics, and one key point was that Arafat was a roadblock to peace. He's dead, so the argument doesn't hold anymore. So the pro-Palestine side asked our teacher if we could somewhat revise the debate. She gave us the option of either pretending it was 6 months or a year ago & using all the points outlinled in the text (including the 2nd Intifada & Arafat), or moving on & debating from a current p.o.v. So we agreed to debate from a current perspective. our debate is next thursday, so we'll see how much of an argument either side has by then!
