Now, in analyzing those lyrics, are they meant to say that education is unnecessary? Or, does the double negative apply?
"We don't need NO eduction" in other words, we need education?
It seems to me, from the context of that song, Waters meant to say that education is unnecessary. "Teachers, leave them kids alone."
Go figure.
But, who in their right mind would knock education? I know, from a certain point of view, ignorance is bliss, but was that his point?
