Receiving

Receiving

Washing over me
Like an ocean wave
I feel the pressure of the flow
As I come out on top
Gasping for air…breathless
My heart beating as if
It might explode in my chest
I feel alive…
Thousands of butterflies have
Taken off at once
Looking for escape
Breaking the barrier…emerging
From fingertips…
The beat of their wings
Gently reset the cadence of my heart
I watch them become invisible
Disappearing into the night sky
Then within moments…
Become stars…
Twinkling in the velvet darkness…
Footlights marking the way home

WOW! Thats such a beautiful poem. I visualized it all in my mind. Its an amazing work of art, I really love it. It makes me feel like there is still hope out there :)
