I read the link and it doesnt specify a date in which it was published but i think this article is referring to back in 2002 i think when they opened for Creed on tour this was when they first signed with Wind Up. In the article they even state that they had just signed. I may be wrong but i think it is referring to back then.

Oh hell yeah, same here. Fuel was My second rock-band love (Pearl Jam came first, I was, what, ten years old when I heard them?)... and I adored Brett.

I was pissed when he left. I only got the last album because I'm a completist when it comes to discographies.
