Your favorite non-creed concert
we all know Creed rules in concert
so what is your favorite non Creed concert?? |
There have been so many. A few of my favorites (after Creed, of course):
Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet Tour - 3rd row center Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet Tour - 1st row Bon Jovi - These Days Tour - 7th row Don Henley (not a huge fan, but his concert was one of the best I have ever seen) Van Halen - 5150 Tour There have been so many concerts, it's so hard to pinpoint just one. |
Haven't been to many concerts (esp. large ones), but I'd have to say the matchbox twenty concert I attended this past November kicked all ass!!!
|
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - 11th Row Center
Good Charotte, New Found Glory, MxPx, Movielife - IN THE PIT! (Plus meeting Joel and Benji of GC) Seventh Day Slumber, Stereo Motion, Grand Prize, Rock & Roll Worship Circus - Against the stage and met the bands. H-D :suave: |
Our Lady Peace/3 Doors Down/Seether was amazing.
Bush, back during razor blade suitcase, wasnt too bad. |
Haven't been to many shows but my all time favorite show next to Creed was Tori Amos. Saw her a couple of years ago. I LOVE the way that woman sings and plays her piano. After April 27 and May 1 that will probably change because I'm gonna see A PERFECT CIRCLE!!! MAYNARD is the MAN!!!!! :thud: :pant:
|
Nickelback and 3 Doors Down for $5 when they just got signed to labels.
Finger Eleven / Boy Hits Car / One Way Ride for $4.94 when The Greyest of Blue Skies came out Godsmack at a radio fest with a bunch of other bands for $25 last May Spirit Creek - just about every show they've played! (actually they opened for the NB and 3DD show) Nickelback and Jerry Cantrell ... 3rd row a few years ago at Marcus Ampitheater |
I just remembered another one:
Def Leppard (in the round) with Tesla opening. The bandmembers girlfriends sat next to us and I remember talking to them about the shopping mall :) Funny story - Tesla was doing so well and the place we so into them that all of a sudden the power got cut and they had to end their set early. Well, the power was just fine by the time Def Leppard took the stage  |
Wow, I have been to a ton of concerts over the years, but here are few that stick out in my mind:
Jerry Cantrell -- three times, two on his solo tour. Friggin AWESOME. Yes in 1978 (Tormato tour) Bob Dylan (the other night--- FRICKEN AMAZING) A Perfect Cirlce in November The Mars Volta in October, I think...I can't remember the date, but it kicked ass. Pearl Jam (last April) Bruce Springsteen (last summer FINALLY) Metallica (last summer FINALLY) Audioslave (twice last year) Jane's Addiction (last year) Moody Blues (early 80s) Neil Young & Crazy Horse (several times since the 80s, all AWESOME SHOWS) Primus (last November) |

you saw a band in 1978? wait.......that would make you LOL Pearl Jam and Matchbox Twenty last year were really good. PJ is one of the best live bands in the world. Matt Camron on the kit, Stone Gossard with his "duck walk", Jeff is static but shows great skill and Mike McCready is simply an animal on lead guitar espescially on Even Flow. And to top it all off Eddie Vedder is a great rhythm guitarist which adds verstality and his vocals have power, control and passion. Tells some funny jokes (often political) as well which gets the crowd involved. |
 Mmmmm Let's see next too CREED it would have to be:
DISTURBED..seen them 3 times last year, they put on an awsome show. GODSMACK..only seen them once so far but i have one coming up in April. :) |
Billy Joel/Elton John 6th row (effing AMAZING!!!!!)
Duran Duran (yes!) 12th row in 1983 Paul McCartney in Philly and AC last year (still rocking for a man in his 60's) The Who - Quadrophenia at MSG in 1996 (I think) it was a surprise gift for my hubby Billy Joel 1993 - During the baseball playoffs, he gave the updated Phillies scores for us |
I'm going to see Metallica in two mouth and that will ROCK!!
|
Have been to so many concerts in the last 2 years. I would have to day that the Shinedown/3DD/Tantric concert was my favorite. I saw Creed 4 times and they were GREAT and of course my favorite, but this was a close second. I am going to Metallica and Godsmack in a month I am sure that will be cool too.

LMAO and Mike every music lover must experience Mike tearing it up during "Even Flow". The DVD doesn't do it justice trust me on that, at least not his solo in Melbourne. |
Nope, the only video that comes close to capturing Mike wailing is Mad Season at the Moore theater when he's going absolutely insane on November Hotel.

I guess my fav concert hasn't been there yet... CREED will be THE ULTIMATE! But in the meantime I will enjoy myself with(among others) the Arrow Rock Festival at 12 and 13 June... the line-up is now official :
On Saturday 12th of June the following artists will be playing: Judas Priest, Scorpions, Alice Cooper, UFO, Motorhead, Blue Oyster Cult, Bad Company's Paul Rodgers, Ten Years After, Eric Burdon & The Animals, The Godz and Y&T!!!!!!!!!! On Sunday 13th of June the following artists will be playing: Iron Butterfly, Yes, Queensryche, Golden Earring, G3-Joe Satriani, Steve Vai & Robert Fripp, Heart, Porcupine Tree, White Lion, Symphony X and Caravan!!!!!!!! Just heard that RUSH will do Holland on the first of october... not bad either! |
Reilent K. because that's the only concert I've ever been to......and it's kind of funny, I never knew any of the words, and I still don't! (I went with a church group to frontier city in OKC and they happened to be playing there that night) Or at Falls Creek, which is a Christian camp, but it's not really for people to come do a concert. It's a fun place. Last year a Christian singer was there, her first name was Jamie, and I don't remember the last name, she was like the music leader. She has some CD's out though.

Geez, that sucks, hide...:(

Hey, caught Kid Rock couple of weeks ago. Kicks butt big time. Guarantee you'll get your money's worth. He's on tour now, so if he comes to your city, I would highly advise you catch him. Two hours of non-stop rock. Devoted fan and you are or either will be if you catch the show.

I really enjoyed the following:
Audio Adrenaline with Mercy Me, Kutless and the Swift The Swift played better later on their solo tour, had fun at that one The Linkin Park, P.O.D., Hoobastank, Story of the Year show was awesome. Lots of energy and a lot of fun But most recently i went to see a few of my favorite bands all playing together. i was about 3rd row from the stage. The Show was Kutless, with Thousand Foot Krutch, Falling Up, and Fm static. Great show. Jumping and moshing for most of it. I love TFK and Falling UP. |
linkin park, hoobastank, pod, and story of the year
run dmc, cheap trick, and aerosmith and sorry to all the emo haters but dashboard, brand new, mxpx, and piebald |
I'd never see Creed live here in The netherlands. So i don't know how they rock. But my favorite concert is KANE.. they rock live!!!
|
well I've only gone ot two concerts. The other one besides Creed was Good Charlotte and NFG. That wasn't my favorite concert, even though it was fun. Hopefully my favorite non-Creed related concert will be Disturbed when they start touring again.

A definate must see, if you can!! I've seen Disturbed three times and can't WAIT to see them again!! It won't be the same without Fuzz, but I guess I'll just have to get over it! ;) BTW, 12 Stones kicked major booty when I saw them last month..Come to find out, after they got on stage and I saw Paul McCoy up there, I realized he was standing RIGHT NEXT TO ME in the crowd!!! I was standing by the sound and light boards and I looked to the left of me and there was this guy standing there, looked like him, but I wasn't too sure, til I saw him up on stage!!! I could have cried!! |
Maroon 5 and John Mayer are coming here in July. Tickets go on sale this Saturday. All I need now is a date....
|
Clapton... 'nuff said.

<------ ooo I like him! You lucky girl!! I would have told my friends to push me into him or something just to make him notice me. lol! ;) |
I know I posted in here earlier on and I think my favorite non-Creed concerts was Tori Amos. Well, on April 27th , that all changed. I experience A Perfect Circle LIVE!!! My first Maynard experience went way beyond my expectations. I may not have been as close as Dogstar, luvscott4ever and njcreedite but I was close enough!!! He doesn't move all over the stage but the mystery of him standing on his platform moving to the music, DO IT FOR ME! They played all my favorite songs and it was definitely ORGASMIC!!!! Got to see it all over again on May 1 and it was just as ORGASMIC as the first time!!! This is my all time favorite CONCERT!!
I think it has surpassed Creed for me!! :flee: :yikes: |
