No new songs...They played My own prison, With Arms Wide open and Higher...Sounded great together...cant wait to hear new music though!!

20 minutes of chill bumps from me. Wow! CREED IS BACK!!!!!
My sacrifice is on there too. In my opinion, Scott sounds the best he ever has. Even better than the My Own Prison album. And, Tremonti doesn't sound bad either. Marshall looks happy as does Flip.

Ok, now that I've calmed down some...
My Own Prison sounds great. It's my favorite of the 4 songs on AOL Sessions. Normally, My Sacrifice or Higher would top of, but My Own Prison sounds great on Sessions. Scott is hitting every high and low note perfectly and he isn't missing a beat. I personally like this better than the actual recorded version for the album. I hope someone can get this into MP3 format sometime soon as I'd love to hear it on my ipod

Higher sounds really good, Tremonti is a guitar GOD and it shows in Higher. Has a nice twist at about 1:50.

With Arms Wide Open is probably my least favorite Creed song, still yet, sounds like the master track

My Sacrifice is good. lol at Tremonti nodding at Flip when to start drumming. Tremonti and Stapp seem to have a good vibe going with each other.

These won't play on my 2 PCs.

Does anyone know why? The internet page opens up fine, but then the player just does nothing.

I'm really annoyed at the moment, I got myself all hyped up for the 22nd of June because supposedly their new single was going to be released. Then the AOL sessions come out, which I can't watch.

Can I watch them on Youtube or something?

Well the 22nd was yesterday and still no new single..I heard alot of people are having problems outside of the states..should be on youtube shortly!

Yeah I read in a few places you can't watch AOL sessions outside the US...

I'm so damn annoyed... Just give me Creed..

For anyone who feels nice and wants to put the sessions on Youtube, I would personally make sure you get a fecking medal.

I've been so excited, I can finally hear some new Creed stuff, and I can't.

Hmmm I just realised theres an AOL.com, which is where I'm trying to view the videos.

Theres also an AOL.co.uk, and on there I can't find the Creed videos.. So it's probably a US exclusive thing.

couldnt agree more! Scott honestly sounds better on here than on the records IMO. and for all the haters who keep saying that this is fixed by wind up and the other 3 dont wanna be there, watch mark. during higher and at the end of my sacrifice, he has the biggest smiles on his face.

and i noticed that brian looked kinda mad on the last song. i dont think he was. reason for his look? break down the session setlist:

this was the only song which Brian had never played in front of an audience, so naturally he would be a little nervous. He wasn't mad, he was CONCENTRATING!!!! All the other ones he looked fairly comfortable, even enjoying himself. I couldn't really see flip lol but im sure he was having a blast.

Mark, as always, never ceases to impress. His little improv licks within the songs really showed through and gave a new breath to each song. Now, idk how he used to sing the chorus in "My Own Prison", but that was really the only part that didn't sit right with me. Was it just me, or did he not seem to give his all in that part? Again, idk how he used to sing it so maybe it sounds fine (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong), but something about it seemed off for some reason. Not tone wise mind you, but mood wise.

And on singing, I go to Scott. SCOTT STAPP!!!! Holy crap did he sound good on this little series. Honestly, I've heard some good live vocals before, but NEVER have I heard something as great as Scott did on AOL Sessions. Even Scott's past live performances, which were usually above par to begin with, cannot compete with this.
I guess it's true when he says he's cleaned up and got sober and STAYED sober cuz it really shows. The only minor flaw that I heard was his growl! It's been kind of lost over these years! Scott has done what James Hetfield of Metallica did: he got away from the screaming and growling and started SINGING (I'm not bashing either men they are both my idols I'm just stating a fact). When James sings live now, it sounds like he's trying to do too much with the music. But Scott executed this perfectly. While he might have lost some of his signature growl that we all know, he has more than made up for it in shooting lightyears past what I think he even thought he was capable of.

So all in all, an amazing performance by the reformed band today. Would I have liked to hear a new song? You bet your ass I wanted to. Did this performance disappoint because a new song was lacking? It did the exact opposite. It proved that Creed is back with guns blazing. Now WE NEED NEW MUSIC!!!!! But congrats on a memorable performance guys, I speak for us all when I say it's great to have you back.

i'm not that impressed...scott sounds better than solo but unfortunately he hasn't the vocal range anymore :(

my own prison sounds good, because scott has a deeper singing voice now. but tracks like higher and my sacrifice are that powerful so scott has some range problems.

but it sounds better than axl rose ;) and we'll see how scott's album voice will be like ;)

I absolutely love it! Thanks for the heads up! I think that Scott sounds fantastic! I love his voice. I did not hear a range problem. About how Mark sang in mop, I think that he changed the tone of voice on that song. I believe he use to sing it differently. Now he seems to have more confidence. Maybe that is the change. Mark sounds great too. All of the guys look and sound good. I have missed Creed so much.

My only complaint is that the camera man needs to show Brian more LOL. I loved the performance. I am extremely excited for new music!

Yeah I agree lol but the rest of the band needs to get more into it! lol Scott's doing all of his normal stage antics (well a lot of them anyway) and, for the most part, the band seems to be stagnet. lol maybe it's just their personalities but I think they should move more and have more fun with it! And yeah, Mark sounds good I totally agree just something about the different style threw me for a loop lol

I did not think that the band were not into it. One thing is they are in a studio with no audience. Just a camera man. That takes the adrenaline down a bit right there. I also do not remember Creed being an all over the place type of band live. Maybe am not remembering correctly LOL. It has been a longtime. Mark seemed fairly into it. Anyway just my opinion.

I was pretty impressed with what I saw. I admit I was pleasantly surprised Stapp's voice. It sounds much better than last time I heard it.

I can't lie, it's cool to see them play together. What jumped out at me though was how obvious it is that Mark, Flip, and Brian have evolved so much in their playing over the years, yet Stapp is exactly the same, but with some more intense facial expressions.

The other guys almost look bored playing the songs...

I wouldn't say they look bored, I think they are more comfortable with these songs. I mean, I don't think anyone will argue that from a technical standpoint and a difficulty standpoint, Alter Bridge songs are a lot more difficult than Creed songs for the most part. I'm not bashing Creed in any way shape or form I'm just say. With the 3 guys from Alter Bridge now shifting gears and playing Creed music, the focus is different than in Alter Bridge. So naturally it should be a little easier, a little more relaxed in this band. And that's what they've said the whole time, they're doing it now because they wanna do it and just play music again as Creed.

thats indeed a fact after you,ve played the same songs over and over and over it can become dull to your own ears ya know what im saying and further more it takes a audince and a good one to bring intensetity That Certian Vibe That Connects With The People :) im keeping an optimistic aproach freedom fighter toward the creed reunion its so good to see these guys back together

Figured I pop in and give my 2 cents. I loved it, like i said before i've never been to a concert and i believe thats the best I'll ever do. Overall I feel this is sincere and something they want to do. Come on take Mark, you really think he would pull some of the moves and riffs off if he didn't want to do it, its a waste of talent. Only thing that bothers me is why does Scott have to keep getting all up on Mark when hes shredding. I would lose concentration, though I can't even play.... I wish I could play like him. As for Mark singing, it is different in the original he sang it alittle bit lower if I recall. Anyways those our my thoughts on this. Can't wait for the single. btw when Mark would turn the sound up, it kept messing my clock up.... that man is powerful.

Alright so this has been a HUGE controversial subject over at the Alter Bridge forums on the Creed page. Autotune. There have been claims on both sides; some have said "I have used this before and it is blatently obvious that Scott is using autontune", while others have said that "I have used this before there is no way that Scott is using autontune"

What does everyone think? Good? Bad? Credible? Anyone even care?

Don't even know what it is, and don't care either. People just like to complain about crap. Like 2 comments above, TheGreatDivide, saying Stapp shouldn't go by Mark when he's shredding. Come on man, that's what he's always done. I like that, cause it makes it look like they're buddies...like they're having fun. And now some stupid technical problem called auto tone. Give it a rest.

If you have to complain, then you need to grow up.

who cares! scott is not a young buck anymore and look to see him use it on the LONG tour to prolong his voice. People like to analyze every little thing because they have nothing better to do..His voice sounded good enhanced or not!

Yeah man. I think musically, the performance of Higher and MOP sounded better than ever. I think Mark, Marshall and Phillips rig sounds wayyyy better. And Stapp sounded good, as usual.

^ya they all sounded like a band that had not been away for 5 years. And that was just in a small studio..To this day, I have hearing loss because of the Live shows they put on!

Well I agree with Tremontisized, When Mark shreds Stapp is there because its ROCK N ROLL..Myles kennedy did it as well it Alter Bridge just with a guitar, I love it!

oh i definately agree and i wasnt complaining about the auto-tune in any way i was just stating whats going on over at our neighbors board. its all speculation anyway lol point is scott sounds amazing and so does the entire band :D
