Problem With Forums

Sorry about the latest problem with the forums. Something happened to the web server last night which apparently corrupted the forum software. I believe I have fixed the problems now. If you notice any errors do not hesitate to let me know.

I have a problem. It takes like 10 seconds for the page to load, like it will load but i wont be able to move the curser for a while

Dogstar 11-06-2004 11:13 PM

Yeah, that happens to me, too. It won't load until the blue bar disappears even though the page is in full view, and it's probably not quite 10 seconds, but it doesn't let you move the cursor once the page shows up. I just figured it was a function of the new server or something.

Yea same thing happens here. I'm currently trying to determine the cause of that. I'll keep ya posted on that in this thread.

it may have something to do wih google ads, considering they are usually random and have to load up every time.

But it may not

Steve 11-07-2004 12:41 AM

I don't think it's the google ads because I have always had the google ads at the bottom of the pages - you just may have never noticed them before. Although they may have changed the code which displays them, and that could be a cause. I will remove them right now to see if it makes a different.

Thanks, Steve!

It's not the ads. I just removed them from the AB Rocks style and it still is like that. Tomorrow I will look into it more, it's getting late :)

Steve 11-07-2004 12:48 AM

Let me know if it still does that for you. I think I found the problem...

Xterminator27 11-07-2004 12:49 AM

Yup it works A-OK now
