He might consider a "chill" for himselfself. It's nice to know the band follows what's going on, but it's strange to address fans posting questions and hypothesis with so much anger. I hope his rant isn't on behalf of Alter Bridge.

Me thinks the lad doth protest too much.

People are cynical in this day and age, and he has to expect that sort of response from some of them. So, it's OK to have an opinion but not to express it? I notice a lot of the current interviews have been done in print, not video, where you can tell a lot more from a person's body language than you can through only the written word. People are going deduce things from what they see and hear, and if you look at the big picture, it may look like a money grab from the standpoint of the record label and their maybe being contractually obligated for another record. AB is a good band, don't get me wrong, but it did not have the commercial success of Creed, and Michael cannot be surprised that some people see this as a money grab. And what, he wants the fans to kiss the band's ass? Sorry, but blind faith is not for everyone.

No, I don't expect that at all. That is a good thing. But again, to copy his post and paste it here is bad form. You want to reference something, post a link.

Not to mention, he didn't give all the context. He didn't mention the people slagging on the bandmembers personally and outright claiming that they were lying when they said Alter Bridge would continue. So, although I wouldn't have posted what Michael did, I do understand where it's coming from.

You're right, there should be a link, and I will fix that. With regard to being out of context, it looks as if the entire post is here, without comment. I still think Michael is naive to think that people won't see the band as selling out. As I said, it's a cynical world and for everyone to be rah-rah happy about it is not realistic. And some people will call it as they see it, absent whatever "is in the hearts" of the band members. Since he didn't expound on that further, people, as human nature is wont to do, will speculate.

Look people GO see for yourself marks brother posted it! Michael said it becasue he is the spokesperson for alter bridge and people on Alter Bridge Boards are slamming all the guys for going back to scott stapp! So he felt the need to react..people are calling the guys sellouts..how would u like it if your brother was being called a sellout! I understand he was on fire at the time but I think the passion in his rant says that AB will carry on, we will see...

I think everyone has a right to express his or her opinions, but I think what Michael was responding to was some people who really just post random comments that have no basis to them whatsoever. If you go read some of the comments people posted on that forum, some are very very rude and disrespectful. I think that is what pushed Michael "over the edge" so to speak.
