Yes what your saying in General is very true, but in case of stapp its a bit awkward. You pray for someone who doesnt know what hes doing and what hes got himself into. But stapp apparently is mature enough to know what hes exactly doing. How he doesnt claim responsibility for his actions pisses some people off. For example im sure youve been to a traffic court, have you noticed how the judge goes easy on you and gives you a discount once you pleed guilty! however if you pleed not guilty not only he wont discount the fee, theyll abondon you from going to traffic school as well and once you go to trial chances are very very very low that youll win, if your lucky the cop wont show up and thats what most people hope for before going to trial. why because the system gets pissed from criminals who dont take responsibility for what they do, because if they dont they will most likely do it again. In Stapp's case i think praying will not do much as for it hasnt so far and at some point you just have to stop being nice, for his own sake. |
Why stop praying because it hasn't helped before? My brother has been dealing drugs for 25 years. Hasn't stopped me from praying for him. God has a timeline unknown to us. "Love thy enemies and pray for those who hurt you."
I can't do anything else for him but pray anyways. And imagine his loved ones, they need prayer as well. |

Thats not what I ment, its really good to pray and we always pray for everyone wether we know them or not. But praying isnt always the answer. What I mean in Scott's case is that knowing that hes been acting like an asshole, admitting it and yes not buying his CD and not supporting him may cause him to get his shit together, cause obviously the prayers havent worked very successfully. Dont stop praying but add a little spice to it thats what Im saying. |
I understand what you are saying. I was in Chicago, so I wish he would admit when he messes up. I just can't help but think of everyone he is hurting in his personal life, mostly Jagger. But deep down, I think he has some issues he needs to face head on. He just validated Chicago to a lot of people. Fame can be too much for some people, sadly.
Well, there's always hope left. I will never stop listening to him, can't do that. I know what you're saying though... |
