Okay, keep in mind I am paraphrasing here, but this was the news:

So basically the news was that they are going on tour in april 2012. The shows will be in small venues and dedicated to their first two albums. Meaning, one night they will play MOP in its entirety with some select songs from Weathered and FC and the next night do the same with HC. Stapp said this was because they want to get back to the roots of the creed sound for inspiration on writing their next record, of which he stated they have about 3 or 5 songs done already. About his solo career, he states he has enough material for 3 albums, but Wind-up won't release any of it and it's out of his hands.

Don't see why they couldn't skip Weathered and FC altogether and just play MOP and HC together. That would really be going back to their toots :D

I don't understand why Wind Up is against his solo career. They need all the money they can get. Do they think it will mess up Creed?

They probably don't have the money to release a his stuff. The reason they're pushing Creed is because they still think Creed will sell as well as they used to.
