Post-concert behavior

OK...I accept that I am nuts and nearly obsessed with Creed. But, there have to be other Creed fans that, after watching a concert -are Creed-ified and start taking on gestures/movements of the band. Strutting like Scott with my chin and head thrusting forward and bobbing; gritting my teeth while strumming an imaginary guitar; closing my eyes and whispering 'beautiful' to an audience of my cat. Besides these performance moves, I start hearing Creed lyrics everywhere...coming out of the mouths of grocery store clerks, 3rd grade students, ministers, etc. Am I consumed? Don't take me wrong, I don't think any of this is bad - (although, it may look odd at times to others) and I am willing to facilitate a Creed support group if needed. Thank goodness I live alone, otherwise I would be hauled away.
So, how about you? I am curious about your post-Creed-Concert behavior.

Souldancer, does your cat really sing well enough that you mouth
"Beautiful" to it? Mine just sit there and look at me like I'm crazy. They're not really big Creed fans unless Scott Stapp comes to my house and feeds them and Mark empties the litter box. Last time Flip came over with some catnip, he was pretty popular.;)

But cereally, I know exactly what you mean. I don't strut, but I do tend to play my air guitar a lot louder, I bang the drums on the song "Beautiful" much louder and bang my head even moreso after I see them.

Well, she is quite old, deaf and has a little Alzheimers, but she just meows right a long with her whacky guardian and I find it just 'beautiful' - kind of our music therapy, I guess.

LOL, you guys! My post-Creed behavior was (I've seen them just once, but you know that will change soon!) that visions/sounds of the show took up residence in my mind for the next two weeks. I would be at work, trying to come up with a clever or pithy headline for a story I was working on and my mind would drift back to the show. I had trouble concentrating for at least two weeks. No joke. But it was fun in a way. It just kept me in a really good mood.

Thank goodness my daughter is a fan and goes to the Creed shows with me because I talk on & on about every little detail from the time we get on line till the end of the show. I even start to drive her nuts. Oh I lipsynch Creed songs and do a pretty decent Scott imitation myself. At the shows during MY Sacrifice I would make fists and do what Scott does in his videos. I thought he might see me and get a laugh or maybe he would get annoyed. My daughter and I have a whole routine we do to the song at the shows. Am I really 49yrs old. I think there must be some mistake. LOL

That's what's great about seeing Creed with friends or your kids. You can talk their ears off and they totally get it, they know exactly where you're coming from. I found it hard to obsess over the show with my husband because he likes them but isn't as obsessed as I am. And when we went with my best friend and her husband this summer, they were fighting and no one said a word the entire drive home. So that ruled out any post-concert obsessing for me. I was ready to burst!!

Your on such a high after the show, that ya just wanna keep talking about it. But when i went home after the show, my family at first wanted to hear all about it, but i went on for ages, so they became rather bored.
I didnt get much sleep that night either.

LOL I love this thread. None of you are crazy! I am the same way. I don't really find myself imitating Scott's movements but every detail of the show and of him totally dominate my mind and thoughts for a good 2 weeks afterwards. I listen to Creed even more than usual (which is already a lot) and I find myself having the urge to tell every person I see about the show even if they couldn't care less. I want to talk about it constantly. And then I come to the board because you people are the only ones that truly understand the way I am feeling.

Also, the reason I like to go to shows by myself is because I don't want any distractions at all from anyone. I want to just live the moment with my concentration 100% on Scott...uh, I mean the show.

Okay I have to admit that on the songs "Higher" and "Stand Here With Me" I grit my teeth and play an imaginary guitar like Mark does. Man, I would give anything to play like him!! I would give anyhting to meet him!! :tremonti:
