So I've got my own opinions, but what does everyone else think that this song means lyrically?

"stay on top if they let you, cause the change is permanet" is saying Creed was on top and probably will never happen again, also it sounds like he drops a "Jagger" in the middle of the song, where Stapp might be talking to Jagger..just my thoughts...

I feel like this is sort of about religion in the fact that nowadays, science has tried to refute the creation of the universe by a God and as new generations come and go, more and more "truths" are revealed.

I always took it as Scott realizing that he messed up with his addicitons and destroyed creed. He was on top and now he knows he'll probably never see it again.

This song falls in the category with Signs and In America. What Fear says to me is that we have been brainwashed and that everything we’ve been told is a lie. Fear is absolutely the perfect title for this song because how scary it would be to find out everything you have been told was based on a lie. For example, your religion, your government.
