Stone Temple Pilots confirm split

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS have confirmed that they are officially over.


The band recently released a greatest hits album entitled ‘Thank You’ and guitarist Dean DeLeo told Guitar One magazine: "It was time to move on to other things. Life and personalities and brotherhood took its course. Everybody's got cool stuff going on. Scott Weiland is about to embark on a new experience (with Velvet Revolver). It just ran its course, I suppose."

Umm..... didn't they break up a LONG time ago :confused:

Yeah, they did, but they actually made the breakup official last week.

I don't know if anyone else knows this, but I heard that Ben Moody left Evanescence....

I don't know, but it's damn epidemic and I'm not happy about it.

I don't really follow STP so I didn't know that - but it just sounded eerie to me when I read it - the final album - the comments about brotherhood - going seperate ways - In 12 months that report could easily be about our boys... so freaky

PLUS - if STP did break up a long time ago and just confirmed it - that could be what we are facing with the boys - scary scary scary

maybe this is just one of the signs of the apocalypse that was accidentally left out of Revelations... all really good rock bands breaking up...

Just in case you missed it, the Beatles have also broken up.

And I think that Jim Morrison is dead, so no more Doors.

Oh, and The Who, Duran Duran, the B-52's, The Jackson 5, Dexie's Midnight Riders, .......

How about Dexies Midnight RUNNERS??? ANd of course those are all broken up and their die hard fans probably felt the same way. Let's hope the fate of our boys isn't similar to the Beetles and the Doors - members of which met untimely deaths!!!! CREED FOREVER!
