Silence
 

Like a cloud of dust,
that is all she hears.
Silence
She listens with eyes that can't see clear.

She lost the sound of birds,
lost their cheerful song,
lost the voices of little children,
singing Mommy a song.

She can't hear heartbeats,
can't hear the sound of breathe.

She remembers sound,
but memories are only second best.

She took advantage of the times,
where birds chirpped and children sang.

Now she sits,
waits
maybe
just maybe,
one day the birds,
might come back.

(might not be too good, wrote it when I was sick)
