Is Winmx free?
 

I should have asked this before I downloaded it! It didn't say anything about a fee.

it's totally free.i like winmx, because you can also find many vids of creed there.

I like the setup better than kazza, y ou can get it at winmx.com yes it's free,I would never pay for mp3's!!!

mIRC is very easy to use. Just read a quick tutorial on how to use it.

I just downloaded Winmx and put in CREED and WOW - LOTS OF GOOD STUFF - I still like Kazaa too - but this has stuff they dont

first. go to File, then Options.
Next to IRC Network, select "All".
under that select "EFNet: EU, RU, Moscow"
on that same main "connect" page, choose a nickname
that page is done.
look on the left "collapse menu" for "DCC". click "DCC"
once you are there, look on the right side for "On send request"
under that, select "auto get file" and under that "if file exists" select "resume" from the drop down menu.

now, look back at the collapse menu, look for "folders" (it in the DCC submenus.) click "folder".
look on the right, look for "DCC Ignore"
select "disabled", and then deselect (ie untick that box) "Turn ignore back on in:"

your settings are now set. now press the button under "file". the button is a yellow lightning shaped thing. when the button turns into a snapped yellow lightning shaped thing, that means you are connected...

go to the #MyownCreed channel. you type that in when a thing pops up asking which channel you want to go in.
once you're in type in "!list"
some things in different colour writing should pop up
look for Narc-Serv.
if Narc-Serv is there then copy/paste this "/ctcp NaRc_SeRv vIdEoS" at the bottom of the channel (ie, where you chat to others)
a thing should pop up asking you to accept the chat request with Narc-Serv. press "accept"

a new window should pop u
after this "Acknowledging chat request...
DCC Chat connection established" pops up in red...type in "dir"

some folders should come out (eg CREEDINK, INTERVIEWS)

type in "cd RM"
this changes the directory to RM, which is what you're looking for
press "dir" to view what's in it

you should see a couple of RM files.

enter "get "*filename* to download it.
eg, if i want to download "marks_lunch.rm", then i would type in "get marks_lunch.rm"


that's it....after you've pressed "get *filename*" a thing should pop up asking you if want to receive that file. press "OK"
