Re: Creed on Rockline
Thanks for the info. It seems like it was recorded on Nov 2, or so. I didn't know it would include a live performance, so this is going to be awesome to hear. I like the promotional transcript there for Creed, after reading it I can't wait till this show airs. :)

Can someone please record this???
|
Re: Creed on Rockline
looks like it was recorded last monday but is airing tonight. They are playing a handful of old and new songs starting off with "Bullets" so should be a great show. Starts at 8:30 Pacific time. Rockline has a list of radio stations that carry the broadcast where you can click the "listen Live" to hear rockline.

Re: Creed on Rockline
Stapp was miles ahead of recent performances tonight.
He didn't start struggling until Overcome and beyond. He was actually screaming higher in Bullets, and that scream that he did at the end of Faceless Man was VINTAGE Stapp. He's still got the voice, he just can't use it nearly as much. I'm hoping with him dropping the smoking habit, and practice, he'll finally get halfway back to his old self. There was no doubt though, tonight was awesome. The band sounded fantastic.....and Stapp was much better tonight than most of the tour. |
Re: Creed on Rockline
Stapp desperalty needs to rest his vocal chords until March, I just think he struggles too much and at times I heard old Stapp take a peak, overall I give the performance a C+
|
Re: Creed on Rockline
I agree. He was definately better tonight than alot of other shows, though.
That's probably the best version of Bullets I've heard them do since the reunion. |
Re: Creed on Rockline
In case you missed it like I did. Listening right now:

Re: Creed on Rockline
Stapp does sound pretty good. It makes me realize that he still has it in him. I just don't think he's as durable as he used to be... which is probably why he sounds like he's been playing it safe during most of the tour.

Re: Creed on Rockline
Great set. Everyone sounded great. I agree, even Stapp sounded better than he has in past shows.
You know, I'm going to go out on a limb here and reveal a thought that crossed my mind... I could seriously picture E-Rock as a future lead vocal for Creed, maybe when and if Stapp retires or just completely loses his voice for some reason. He is an extremely talented singer. |

You know, that exact same thought ran through my mind. I could even see Stapp passing him the torch down the road if he does retire. |
Re: Creed on Rockline
Stapp was shit. Worst I've heard him.
|
Re: Creed on Rockline
I assume the only reason they're doing Creed is because Stapp and Mark reconnected and wanted to play again. So if Stapp ever decided to retire I assume they would only do Alter Bridge. But if Myles got another gig i could see E-rock replacing him in Alter Bridge

You haven't heard much then. |
Re: Creed on Rockline
Stapp sounded so out of tune for most of the set. The best one IMO was Torn.

Heard enough. Usually think he's alright but deary me he was terrible there. |
Re: Creed on Rockline
He started getting really bad after Overcome. Before that, was actually better than alot of other stuff.
Bullets was probably the best I've heard from him in a while, on that song. |
Re: Creed on Rockline
After just hearing the songs from rock line, I almost wanted to cry. Stapp is so far gone in regards to his voice it's unbelievable. I don't know if its the smoking or what but he's really struggling right now. I think maybe if they slowed down the songs a little Stapp would perform better. They seem to really be rushing their songs since they came back and started touring in August. Many of the songs I have seen on Youtube before the breakup seemed to be played at a reasonable speed instead of the fast pace they seem to play most of them at today. This could definitely be one of the reasons why Stapp is struggling so much but in all seriousness imho I think its the smoking. YOU CAN'T SMOKE A PACK A DAY AND BE A SINGER.

Re: Creed on Rockline
Time for a new band: "ALTER CREED"!
Featuring Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall, Scott Phillips, and new lead vocal Eric EROCK Friedman... |
Re: Creed on Rockline
I do not understand how some people can be calling this performance terrible, but then some other people call this a very good performance?
I didn't think there was anything terrible about it, but he could have done better. As always. |
Re: Creed on Rockline
After listening again, I will admit that Stapp was hard to listen to in Faceless Man.
Also, I never thought you could mess with Higher to make it any better of a track, but EROCK's harmony was actually a pretty sweet addition. |
