Re: THE VOICE OF STAPP???wtf????
I hope you didn't hear Kris Allen on Conan yesterday. Really bad. I was reading an interesting discussion from a Adam Lambert fan on how such an exceptional singer like him could lose to such an inferior one as happened on Idol. They said what I expect long to be true, personality makes up nowadays for alot of what is looked for in singers. This fan wrote one of the best critiques on singers and their appeal that I've seen in a long time.

Don't you just hate opinions? Telling another person he's wrong with no proper regard of his opinion, it's a bit rude. You could atleast put "in your opinion" at the end of your post, people are allowed to disagree with you. |

Lol. If it were something completely subjective, sure. If you want to actually measure Stapp on a professional level, and since I work with singers I think I can allow myself to do so, then no. He is not better. Period. P-E-R-I-O-D. If you think he is, cool beans. Never said I had a problem with an opinion. But if you want to say something in a matter of fact tonality, expect it to be argued. For Stapp to tell the fans he sounds better, only means that he's either delusional, holding back, or trying to ignore it. And it's safe to say that he is not holding back anything. Does he sound better to you? Maybe. Is he a better vocalist? Certainly not. I love the guy to death, but I call BS when I see it. |

It's implied when someone posts that it's their opinion. The first thing you're taught in high school English classes is that you don't write "in my opinion" in anything that's meant to be persausive. |

Re: THE VOICE OF STAPP???wtf????
You know, the more times I listen to Full Circle, it sounds like Stapps voice is more 'mature'... know what I mean?

Re: THE VOICE OF STAPP???wtf????
ive been a creed fan since 99 . ive never seen them live they need to come to england but on there albums i cant really tell any difference. his voice is GODLIKE

Re: THE VOICE OF STAPP???wtf????
seems like a lot of creed fans are reluctant to realize he is not as good as he was in 99. I love creed the band but stapp is probably out of shape or needs to go back old school. He really is funny these days compared to the raw intensity and hunger he once had. he is too mellow now and sounds mature in a way but i prefer the older stapp, he was the best. now he is just another singer.

Re: THE VOICE OF STAPP???wtf????
He needs to grow his hair back, if he did that and stoped the robotic stage moves i think it would be much less noticible that his voice sucks now. Also stop smoking.

This is the one thing that he really needs to do. I cannot believe that someone whose livelihood depends upon the health of their voice and throat would still smoke. How stupid is that? |

I love the guy, but he does make some poor decisions. |

As have we all. But since most of us do appreciate Scott not only for his music but also as a person and the journey he has made so far, lets just hope / pray / send good thoughts his direction that he can "overcome" this soon, too, and not just because of how it may or may not affect his singing voice. I think that is an appropriate thing for fans at a fan site to wish for. I lost my father to lung cancer. It was a horrible experience, and one that I would not wish on anyone else, ever. |
