Alterbridge Website

Picture the CreedFeed.com design with Alterbridge logo at the top and Alterbridge content on the pages. What color(s) do you see the design being? I'm messing around with colors and I've tried blue but haven't gotten anything to look right. I've tried a semi-pale green color and it looks decent but I'm not sure green is the right color. What do you people think?

DangerousDan85 05-11-2004 05:24 PM

i can picture gray with maybe some dark blues (like navy)

altered 05-11-2004 05:33 PM

light gray and navy blue is cool. I like black but probably to ominous for everyone

Dogstar 05-11-2004 05:45 PM

As long as it's readable, I'm game for anything. I'm thinking Gray/blue or Gray/black...something with a lot of contrast.

altered 05-11-2004 05:52 PM

exactly!

Higher_Desire 05-11-2004 06:27 PM

I can sort of see a dark blue with black lines (like how the BG is now light brown with dark brown lines). Or maybe black with green lines (my fave two colors together).

H-D

Bridge of Clay 05-11-2004 07:23 PM

make it navy blue

or dark grey... a faded dark grey, like an old T-shirt

benkenobi 05-11-2004 07:26 PM

Hey Steve, when do you think you'll have the Alterbridge site up and ready?

Steve 05-11-2004 07:56 PM

I've got about half the programming done for it. I'm basically taking CreedFeed and making small changes. I'll say a week or two at the max. It's picking up quicker now that I took care of some of the harder things.

Dogstar 05-11-2004 08:36 PM

That's awesome, Steve. I'm sure it will rock. I mean, look at CreedFeed!!

TeriB19 05-11-2004 09:58 PM

I agree, navy and grey or light blue would be cool. And the photo gallery? :D :D :D

How about we dont?

Dogstar 05-11-2004 10:47 PM

You don't like CF's design, Mulletman?

Mulletman 05-11-2004 10:48 PM

no, i just dont like the alterbridge conversion

Dogstar 05-11-2004 10:51 PM

Well I was asking what colors I should change the CreedFeed design to so that I can use it for the Alterbridge design... basically what I'm doing is copying the CreedFeed design to make the Alterbridge site. However I don't want the same colors as CreedFeed so I was asking what colors I should use.

My original intent is to copy the CreedFeed design for the time being, just change the colors. Then when I get more time and when more info comes out about Alterbridge, I'll make a totally new design for it.

Mulletman 05-11-2004 11:43 PM

ah, roger that.

RMadd 05-12-2004 12:37 AM

i was thinking silver/grey and navy blue would be pretty cool, w/ the emphasis on the silver...

hayley 05-12-2004 04:11 AM

As long as its easy to read and doesn't hurt the eyes, then I'm happy with anything, it would be cool though if you put up a few, and have the option of us choosing which colour we want, like you have now.

WeatheredWoman 05-13-2004 07:30 PM

Yeah!! Why don't you make a POLL out of it ? j/k ;)

I liked all the above mentioned black-ish/grey-ish/blue-ish tones... I'm not so fond of the green :dunno:

Guess we have to see it... then it "clicks" or not!

Creed_Defaultgirl 05-13-2004 07:43 PM

I like gray and black, or gray and blue. It sounds pretty good to me!

aussiecreeder 05-13-2004 09:12 PM

what features do you plan on having in the site?

biography?
lyrics?
media?
reviews?
bb?
news?

Bridge of Clay 05-13-2004 09:46 PM

Steve, you're right. Copy CreedFeed until we got Alterbridge's own artwork

how about these kinda colors?

Bridge of Clay 05-13-2004 09:57 PM

how about "NO WAY!" ???? :p

Shadow 05-13-2004 10:07 PM

I guess because their logo has the "rustic/old" feeling about it, I can envision a gray/black board.

What's nice about CreedFeed, is that it doesn't hurt your eyes when you're here. That should be an important factor in choosing colors.

Dogstar 05-13-2004 10:29 PM

Yep, I agree, Shadow...Easy on the eyes is key.

Steve 05-13-2004 10:35 PM

Nothing works, but here it is:

http://www.alterbridgerocks.com/

Please let me know if it doesn't look right in your web browser (if it doesn't please post what operating system, web browser, and screen resolution you use). Thanks!

Wylde-Tremonti 05-13-2004 10:44 PM

Looks tight to me!... matches Tru's PRS well...

Dogstar 05-13-2004 10:45 PM

That looks nice, Steve. Easy to read and the blue/green background is a pretty color.

TeriB19 05-13-2004 11:09 PM

I like it too!

aussiecreeder 05-14-2004 04:50 AM

it looks good.......

WeatheredWoman 05-14-2004 11:09 AM

I have to get used to the green colour I guess... :o

Maybe, like Shadow said before, a whole greyish/black board might be juuuuust fine... Maybe when the green gets darkgrey... almost black.

Or the green can be replaced by a very very soft purple tone... greyish lilac (if you know what I mean LOL!)
The point is... I just don't like green hahahaha... my bad!

Ok ok I will shut up! I'll go with the flow!!! :)

It's not green, it's teal!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I was going to use a faded navy blue color but couldn't get one to work on the inside of the page in the page title bar.

I actually never ever heard of the colour "teal" I thought the colour you used was called "petrol-green" in english. SORRY! :D

That's a pity... I loved that idea

Shadow 05-14-2004 11:35 PM

LOVE the teal Steve. The gray isn't bad. Overall a nice looking board.

aussiecreeder 05-15-2004 06:17 AM

steve you'll have to use your influence to get an online fan quiz (like the vh1 one in 2001) happening! all the big question must be answered! :)

What do you mean? Like you submit questions, I get Creed to answer them?
