I got a new job
Well, it's really not a job... In my Anthropology class this semester (Cultural Diversity), we have to do 20 hours of volunteer work (fieldwork in Anthropolopgical terms) with other ethnic groups, and I was assigned to a Head Start school close-by, with about 4 or 5 other classmates. The school is for preparing children to enter kindergarden, with basic lifeskills such as the alphabet, how to count, caring, friendship, interaction with others, and that type of stuff. I'll be working there for the next 2 weeks, for 10 hours a week. I went for my orientation today and started. Those kids are soooo cute. I'll be working primarily with the 3-6 year olds. They have programs for kids as young as 18 months.
After I finish, I have to write a 10 page paper about what I did and stuff. That sucks, but I get to play with kids for a few hours a day. H-D :hypno: |
