Reunion??

There are articles going on everywhere right now about this. I get daily google alerts for alter bridge and stapp. Because of the Led Zepplin "rumor" with Myles right now, they are arising. Call it what you will, but here is just one of many...

Oh. My. God. ... I'm a huge Zep fan, but I don't know if I could go see this, as much as I love Myles. Zep without Plant? *shudders* Now, I know I have seen AIC without Layne Staley, but only because he was dead. Plant is still kickin' and I just couldn't imagine Zep without him while he's still on the planet.

I must say a Creed reunion would indeed be interesting, though. I'm not sure Stapp has the pipes anymore to pull off some of the tunes, as I think he did a lot of damage to his voice during the Weathered Tour. That said, the curiosity factor alone would be enough to get me to buy a ticket :D. I'm not sure how well they would draw. I'm wondering if their time has passed. They were the shit back in the day, but their fame was indeed fleeting.

Interesting article: Led Zeppelin Close to Naming Replacement For Robert Plant?
By Rob Rockitt
That band features the non-singing members of Creed, who split with front man Scott Stapp in 2004. But sources indicate there would be big bucks in a Creed reunion tour and that the band may indeed rise again. Source: Billboard.com.

Re: Reunion??

I have to wonder on his voice as well. His solo album had two songs that were of him screaming. Even his own sister said they were horrible.
Would they draw a crowd? I think they would get a significant amount of people to come. It is just that there are sooo many bands out there right now!:o

Oh, it would be great for Myles, money and exposure-wise. He's got the right voice for it.

Re: Reunion??

With the things that Mark has said about Windup records, I wonder if that would influence the Creed reunion. Plus, Mark, Brian, and Phillips are all under contract with Universal Republic. It would be nice to just see Creed do a small reunion tour if nothing else to heel old wounds and move on with life.

You have a point, wind-up treated alter bridge like shit. hopefully UR would let them do a reunion.

Re: Reunion??

I was wondering about Wind-Up as well. THey still have Creed listed on their site, so I assume they have the rights to any royalties. If AB has a contract with UR, then I wonder if they'll allow Myles to leave in the middle of a tour. THey said they would tour two years on this album, and it's only been one??

Re: Reunion??

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't want to see it happen. It just seems in bad taste and I sincerely doubt the guys would be interested in working with Stapp again. Also, as Dogstar pointed out, Stapp doesn't sound like he used to. I also don't like the idea of Myles doing the Zeppelin tour. How is it a reunion tour if Plant isn't gonna be singing?

Re: Reunion??

I guess I need to get a life, cause I was jumping in my seat when I read the rumors. :D

I hope to God it's true...and it'd be very interesting. Creed really went out on top, and I think rock stations everywhere would love it if Creed went on a reunion tour. I think they would sell out their shows, and it would be a bigger deal than most people think.

Reunion? It would make sence if they're interested in making big money again.

Re: Reunion??

Reunion you ask? YESSSSSSSSSSSS PLEASEEEEE

I would love it if they got back together. I am only 21 and so don't earn a great deal of money but not too bad. I would pay £500 to see them happily
I have never seen them live and really hate that fact every day.

I live in England and would come to America just to see them live.

This would be nice. But don't depend on this actually happening, unless it is official.

Re: Reunion??

I don't know how I feel about a Creed reunion. In my head it'd be amazing, but I'm sure the reality would be quite different, considering these guys' relationships with each other and Wind-Up and... all that other behind-the-scenes crap.

Re: Reunion??

Fuck a reunion. It would be pointless, (other than fattening their wallets)
and isn't going to happen anyway.

I would like to see Mark and Scott get together on a new project though.

Unless they are gonna do new material, I would rather they start something new. I have already heard what Creed has to offer. Give me something new, dammit.
