Sword Play

Your sword is showing it’s sting
Like the scorpions tail
Dripping "blood" with every thrust
To this unprotected heart…
Carrying promises of sweetness
In it’s cold steel blade
Promises that nary life nor death
Can fulfill…only love
Past the physical into the realm of spirit
Beyond this earthly plane
Strike and strike again….
Wearing your opponent thin
You know she is yours and will be
To the end…
