CourtTV on the Creed LawsuitPosted on 04-23-2003 at 07:44 PM
According to an article posted on CourtTV.com, four fans who attended the Creed concert in Chicago, IL on December 29, 2002 have filed a lawsuit against Creed, Jeff Hanson Management, and concert promoter USA Interactive, citing that singer Scott Stapp "was so intoxicated and/or medicated that he was unable to sing the lyrics of a single Creed song." They are looking for a refund of their $55.50 ticket price and parking fees.
The four individuals are also asking that a judge make this a class action suit, which would allow any of the 15,000+ fans in attendance to be added to the plaintiff list. This could raise the total of the lawsuit to an esitimated $2 million.
