How far are people traveling to come? I know Teri is a Jersian & I might be stretching here-but I think NJcreedite is pretty local too :P . Is anyone flying in?
How do the hubbies & such sit with this. When I mentioned it to mine-he rolled his eyes & smiled-If I told him I was traveling long distance-he might just want to commit me to the Creeditarium lol

Kris, Kim V, njcreedite, Dogstar and myself are all in the AC/Philly area. Sheila's taking the train in from CT, Luvscott4ever is flying in from Minnesota and Carrie is flying in from Arkansas.

My hubby has been unusually cool with all this Creed madness. He went with me to the CAA show last February and the 8/4 Tweeter Center show. When I approached the subject of possibly flying to Ft. Wayne Indiana last November to meet with 3 other crazy Creed fans and spend the weekend there and see the 11/10 show, he was just fine with it. When he found out Creed was doing a NYE show, he arranged his schedule so that he could go in late (he works midnights). As soon as I walked in the door at 1:30 a.m. he left for work. And when I told him we wanted to meet up together in Orlando this past May, he took the weekend off from work and played Mr. Mom to our two little ones. He's taking off the weekend of our November Fest and I'm just hoping after all this Creed madness that he doesn't tell me he wants to have ME committed. Not sure why but he has been a sweetheart about it all.

LMAO about the Creeditarium, Tonya. Fortunately, I'm single so I don't have to worry about it "sitting" right with anyone. Although my dad was being very protective of me a few weeks ago when I mentioned the trip. He was like "there are some bad sections of Philadelphia you know?" I told him that I was aware of that. I know my parents say things like that because they care about me but I'm 40 years old, it's not like I'm a teenager, LOL. I also reminded him that I was there on NYE for the Creed concert with a friend and I came home safe and sound. Anyway, the trip is coming up soon and I can't wait!!!

You can tell them we won't be hanging out in the bad neighborhoods, Sheila. The hotel is in Mt. Laurel, NJ which is a pretty nice area, and any clubs that we'll be going to will be in well-lit public areas. And we'll all watch each others' backs anyway!!!

Your hubby sounds very undertsanding Teri ! I think your hubby needs to start training my hubby for future events!!!!
Ive never went to any type of Creed meet up yet. I have some very dear Creed friends and he's been very good about asking how they are when he sees me chatting online etc... He even remarked once-I like your Creed friends better than some of your friends around here! LOL
We'll have to test him out on me traveling to hang out with my Creed buddies next fest. If not he's not as crazy about it-we'll have to thow out to him....

Hey Sheila-tell your Dad not to worry. I'm very familiar with Philly and which parts not to be in. Most of the clubs that would have a Creed tribute band play there are in areas that are much safer than the places he's probably hearing about .

Also like Teri said-we will definitley watch each others backs!

Thanks, Teri and Tanya. I reassured him and my mom that we'll be careful where we go and that I won't be alone. Hopefully after a few more trips they'll get more comfortable with me traveling. I thought after me flying by myself to FL and driving around there when I first arrived by myself would reassure them but I guess no matter how old you get, we're still kids to our parents.

My Mom was kinda the same way Sheila. She got weird about it not only because Philly has bad areas but because I was meeting people I have only known on the internet. She thinks you are all a bunch of serial killers. :lol:
I told here I will be fine and that nobody is gonna kill me!

As far as my hubby, he's been great! He actually helps feed my need at times. He's a big fan too and part of the BB. He is very understanding about my obsession with Scott He thinks it's great that I'm gonna make some new friends. He just doesn't want me to go to WILD!!! He knows how I can get!! he will be watching our girls that weekend. He hopes that the next Creedfeed fest we have he will be able to come too!!!

My family was very cool about all this, but my friends are another story. To them, you are all a bunch of child porn peddlers and murderers just waiting to get your chance to kill me!! Good thing I don't believe everything everyone tells me, or I wouldn't have ever gotten the chance to meet some of the best people I could possibly meet. I've made some of the greatest friends on this site and, to the best of my knowledge, none of them are psychopaths!!

Oh, one more thing, I also got a reply back from the Human Clay band, this is what it said:

My friends and neighbors were so shocked when I left to meet these great Creed friends and happily surprised when I brought home all my pics of us hanging out having so much fun. Not sure how I lucked out and got the understanding hubby that I did. My mom must pay him well!! ^_^

Yeah, Kris, I understand. I try and remember that my parents were married when they were very young, my mom was almost 17 and my dad was 18!! So they've always had each other and never went on trips with friends so I can see where they're comig from. I hope Steve can join us at one of the Fests, he sounds like a great guy and I'd love to meet him too.

Teri and Tonya, I have one friend in particular who thought I was crazy to fly to FL back in May to get together with people I had never met before. I wasn't worried in the least.

Great news about the Human Clay band. I hope they can find a venue so we can see them.

My friends just shake their heads at me. My girlfriend Robyn laughs at me when she sees me go GA-GA over Scott! She thinks I'm crazy. Luckily I only have to deal with her once a year because she lives in Florida! :wacko: I love her though!
