Under your User Control Panel you can select Edit Options, page down to avatars and insert either the webaddress of a pic you want to use (they have a lot at the Pit if you're a member) or you can upload pics from your computer. The pics can't be bigger than 65x65 pixels though. And don't feel clueless!! I had no fricking idea which end was up when I first joined up here, and now I can upload my own avatars!! I've come so far!! Good luck.
