The military base had phoned in to KROQ (an LA radio station) requesting to hear CREED'S new song Overcome, and in the past they have also requested to hear ALTER BRIDGE's songs, but the DJ said in response that both bands are shit and that they will not play Creed nor Alter Bridge on their radio station (the words were far worse, but I don't feel the need to put down what these trash talkers said). We as fans should be outraged and therefore we need to let KROQ know how we feel. If you want to help support our favorite bands and be able to listen to the songs that we the listeners request then let KROQ know exactly how you feel about their tactless behavior.

Sucks to hear stuff like that. The DJ's jackass remarks may partially be his own opinion, but also may be a cover for the fact that his station doesn't play those bands (and probably others) because they might not have the right deals set up with certain record labels.

Not trying to get this tool off the hook, but it's just something to think about. How much pull could he have with the station anyway...he's a DJ

This was posted over at ABB.net, now I'm really ticked.

"This is how KROQ dj's treat the listener who makes a song request:
Creed is my friends favorite band. He plays guitar and loves Mark Tremonti. Well my friend is in the hospital and I told him to keep his radio on. I wanted to dedicate Creeds new song Overcome to him. Suited what he was going through."

This is the email I sent and the dj's response back..

WOW! Thank you all for supporting our favorite bands. It's amazing to see the responses people are giving to KROQ. ROCK ON!!!

Here's the latest response from one of the DJ's that someone had posted up on the their youtube channel for us to see:

FROM Bean (this is his response he just posted on T)
To all mass-spamming us to play Creed: A) We don't have any say over music we play
B) If you're honest with yourself, you know Creed sucks.
Nothing to do with personal taste. KROQ listeners hate Creed.

It is UNBELIEVEABLE how ignorant they are. Don't let them win! And it is not spamming it is our voices being heard. If we want to hear Creed and Alter Bridge THEY SHOULD GIVE US - THE LISTENERS WHAT WE WANT! Radio now more than ever need listeners in order to stay afloat. If they don't play what we request then let them sink!
